and Iran. Bush has indicated he will not do so. Do you support talks with Iran and Seria, why or why not?

Syria is mostly Sunni, many of the upper echelon in the government have British or American educations, and it's thought they might be flipped. Why not try when the life and death of thousands is at stake? Bush could still walk away from unsuccessful negotiations and say they couldn't be reasoned with. He's certainly brainwashed a large part of the US public to believe that unreasonable terrorists run these countries, so he has plenty of cover. Everything to gain, nothing to lose the way I see it.

Iran is supplying the IED'd that are used to kill in Iraq and is seeking nuclear weapons in violation of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty they signed.Syria is the backer of Hezbollah that is trying to take power in Lebanon and is a very radical and dangerous group(basically Syria's army).Neither group is friendly to the U.S. or is interested in a stable democratic Iraq.

It makes little sense to ask the ones who are helping destableize the region to help stableize it.Whether you are for or against uor presence there it would be a terrible stategic move.

No, you never get something for nothing. We would have to sell our soul to them. Besides that how can they be trusted ...Iran tells it`s people one thing and us another , and who worse to go begging for help to, that would be admitting defeat to the MAIN people that need to fear us right now in these days and times !!!!!
Bush has got so much bulls-it started that will change history forever !! He has really screwed up . What he has done will virtually change the course of everything in the future of the world. Just like his entire life he has screwed sh-t up and don`t know what to do now his self. Daddy can`t get him out of it this time or pay somebody to fix this one though like he has had to do through his entire life.

I think its worth a try..I say this because in the very least we can say we tried and Bush has failed with his Policy... I hear Bush will talk under his conditions.that means not talking at all. He should listen to Baker who has years of mid east experience!

What's a Seria? If you mean Syria, I think that they have to announce that they are ceasing their support for international terrorism first. Of course, Bolton would have been perfect for this assignment but lardbutt Christopher Dodd, one of the crookedest men in the Senate, along with help from that idiot Chaffee, did everything he could to keep Bolton's confirmation from coming before the full Senate, where he would have been confirmed.

I don't think it would hurt trying to talk to Syria. They could probably be prodded a bit more easily than Iran. Religious fanatics of any persuasion are generally not easily reasoned with. It doesn't matter if they're Iranian, American, etc.

No, because those two countries have evil intentions for the middle east and should be treated as hostiles. (threats against Israel)

Baker is a RINO, not a conservative. Talking to people that would rather kill themselves to kill us will not work.
