You cannot occupy a country and take over the hearts of the people. You may win the battle, but you will always lose people to those that don't want to be occupied.

- America has a military presence in over 32 countries. Similar to the Roman rule of the world (cannot invade and win?)
- "ALL" wannabe global rulers have fallen

Beats me, they think they are BIG BROTHER. On a TV program it stated: since the Second World War, America has intervened in over 50 countries around the world. Most of these were non UN sanctioned at the time.
Makes the saying "GO HOME YANKS" even more right.
We used to say, there are only 3 things wrong with AMERICANS;
1. overpaid,
2. oversexed and
3. overhere.

It is all about money! I think corporations should fight their own wars! A democratic government in Iran was overthrown because the US CIA bombed schools and other places and blamed it on a democratically elected president, all because BP lost their oil contract in Iran! Does this ring a bell anywhere?
We supported Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan, giving him weapons, including stinger missiles! He was a CIA operative! Why? We wanted access to the cocaine market and the money laundering by the CIA in Afghanistan! Heard they had a bumper crop this year!
And I really don't think we need to start a war with Iraq because the US lost 3 oil contracts to Russia and France!
We need to keep our noses out of other nation's business, which we seem to have a hard time doing!

It took the U.S. Army and Marines three weeks to reach Baghdad, secure the airport, and depose Saddam. Got it? Three weeks. What happened after that was just jerking around, as the primary purpose of a military force is to kill people and break things, not to be cops or peacekeepers. Do not underestimate the military power of the USA.

Maybe once Hillary is in office, things will change, women don't use the military to compensate for their "shortcomings", couldn't Bush have just bought a convertible, like most guys going through a midlife crisis?
