"Liberalism", as defined in American Heritage dictionary, is a political theory founded on the goodness of humans, & the autonomy of the individual, favoring civil & political parties, government by law with the consent of the governed, & protection from arbitrary authority.
"Arbitrary" - Determined by chance, or impulse, & not by necessity or reason.
So, it supposed to be equal law all around; do as you see fit, as long as you don't harm anyone unnecessarily.
Using a gun to defend oneself against a killer is hardly "arbitrary".
Why then, this hatred of firearms? Please don't spit platitudes out, I'm familiar with them.
But, going by the very tenets of Liberalism, people should be allowed to keep guns, & use them to defend themselves.

I am trying to be a detention officer in north carolina about two years ago I tried marijuana it was not consistent meaning no more than two times I didn't smoke a whole blunt these times just a puff or two. jit was a stressful time when I was going through a medical discharge from army. Will this one stupid time mess up my chances of being a state employee or sheriff.

I am fed up of calling what I thin is my local Abbey national bank, then find out I am diverted to India, I recently had someone try to get £1500 from my account, and whilst the lad was very nice, his grasp to speak the english language was very hard for him, something as important as fraud should be dealt with by an English person, as I had many questions I needed to ask, I will be looking to change banks, so does anybody know of a bank with an English call center...
Also the same applies to BT, I wanted to query a bill, the girl hadn't got a clue..

I am in no way racsist, and do not knock the Indian people for wanting to work,, I blame the companies for thinking they can cut corners at the expense of offering a good and pesonel service as we use to get..
Does anybody feel the same as me??

I live in a very small town that lives and breathes the "good ole boy" mentality. I was recently charged with a totally bogus crime, and told that if I didn't take the offered plea bargain and pay the fine that there would be other people in my group charged with a more serious crime. I took the deal to protect my son, who is a junior in high school. The local deputies have a history of harassing, and even killing one teenager. We are not from here, and any stand taken by myself will be met with retaliation, I am sure. My son has already been pulled over and his vehicle searched, and forced to take a breathalyzer...he blew a 000. After holding him for several hours, they called me and let him go. Because I started to stand up to them by pleading not guilty and requesting a jury trial...I am afraid for my son who is not a problem child. He makes decent grades, and takes regular drug tests to participate in sports at school, and has never been in trouble. Somebody has got to know.

without ruinng it i dont have one anymore but i always wondered how i could take it ioff with out injuring me or it.i wanted to still work and i wanted to be able to put it on when i had to go see my pro. officer although i wouldnt have of because i served 5 years in prison and what the point of going back

My brother is 29 and wants to join the armed forces...he says he is willing to join any branch. He was a hockey player in college and has had several surgeries on his shoulder and knee. He has been denied in the past to enter the Marines due to his past injuries, but I don't know how selective the other branches are compared to the Marines.

My health care provider is not paying a bill that they agree they are responsible for. I have had the issue resolved no less than 5 times by different claims experts. Yet i still recieve a bill after I have been told it was paid. Every month for the last 9 months I get a collections notice then i get it resolved and then it starts over. Can I take them to small claims court for defamation of character, and time lost at work as well as my 120 dollar phone bill?
