How many people will honor our fallen? And how will you do it? I hung my flag and am watching the movie "Pearl Harbor". Let us not forget that Pearl Harbor was the Twin Towers of the 1940's.

I agree. Its events like Pearl Harbor and 9-11 that motivate me in my job (US Army Infantry). I see the pictures of the towers falling and the Arizona in ruins and I remember why I am fighting. Im glad that there are still patriotic citizens in our great nation.

I am part of a program out here in California called the "Veterans for Veterans Association". The purpose is for veterans that volunteer to help other veterans that have either retired or been subject to some terrible effect of the wars they have fought in. Betsy was my third charge.

Betsy Longfellow is a retired Nurse, whom was at Pearl during the attack. She worked in the Burn Unit, and saw many of our boys and civilians come into that hospital on that terrible day and the subsequent weeks thereafter. She was amongst the staff that were awarded for their courage to save lives during the attack and the days thereafter, including trying to get those sailors out of the USS Arizona.

Im going to go meet up with her tonight, to honor our Men/Women that experienced Pearl Harbor and help her get through that troubling day. It still affects her and I understand why.

While I am a Army Vet from the first Gulf War and Bosnia, and I appreciate when people respect me for my duties, but today is their day, and I thank you for your effort to never forget.

Thanks for remembering the Veterans, Lil!

My Dad and both uncles are WW2 Navy vets. I'm a retired Army Officer (Vietnam, Cold War, and first Gulf War).

I have a 30' flagpole out front, and fly the U.S. flag 24/7 (it's spotlit). I've also become a Charter Member of the U.S. World War 2 Museum in Louisianna, and a charter sponsor of the World War 2 Memorial in DC, and have posted my Dad's name in stone on both for all posterity.

I am generally disinclined to see any movie with Ben Affleck in it. ;) But I will find some way to honor our veterans on this Day of Infamy.

God bless you for remembering.

I have my flag out every day, but I will say a prayer also.

Many, many Americans have died to give us the country we have. Are we worthy of their sacrifice?
