You don't have to respect the President, but THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT is different. I didn't like a lot of things Bill Clinton did, but I still respected him in office. He was still my president.

Should I respect you even though you have done nothing to earn mine? You should respect the office he holds if not the man himself.

You should respect the difficult job he has to run this country and the fact that he had so much turmoil thrown at him during his first three years in the oval office. A whole bunch of you act like little kids and deserve to be put in a corner.

he is the leader of the government authorized by the people. If you don't give him respect or feel he has earned it by winning the election, then you obviously have a quarrel with one party or the other, or the american government itself.
If the president makes mistakes repeatedly through his administration then, by all means, show him the respect he has shown you and the people of the country.

You have to respect him because is the leader of our country! He earned that respect by winning the election; you don't have to agree with everything he does in order to respect him. He has a more difficult job than any of us can dream of; running America isn't easy so why don't you people hush and respect the people that make having freedom possible!

Because there are other people in this country who do respect him and you wont have to put up with his politics for much longer. And people who you need to respect, don't always necessarily deserve it.

You should respect the president, just because of that, being President. The President is the person that's represent our country and make decisions, that was the reason we all voted in free elections, you could defer but you should RESPECT.

Respect is NOT to be earned. Every being should be respected until they do something to cause others to lose respect.

Yes you should respect a President . And if his standards are shown to be low he could lose respect.

Best wishes,

pup

Shouldn't you also have to earn the respect you seem to expect?

HINT: Whining, b*tching and naysaying aren't ways to earn respect.
