@u didnt see anything: Of course, but be realistic here. The media will make a big deal of them as being African-American if they're elected. That's what's wrong with our nation today. For all we've progressed, we still think too much of race/ethnic heritage.

It sounds better, makes us seem more diverse, more equal. They are promoting the few famous "black" politcians in order to draw attention away from the fact that in reality, there are so few. Its all politics

Obama and Powell are REAL lucky to be half white, if what you say is true. The average American, in my opinion, is far more comfortable w/, and likely to elect, an "Uncle Tom."
