I Left the Marines a few years ago as a corporal....I always wondered..."If I had stayed?" My questions are:

1)If you're a Gunny; "Who" or "What" determins if and when you get promoted, do you become a "Master Sgt" or a "First SGT"???

2) If you go the Master SGT route, can you still be a SGTMAJ?or do you "must" become a "MAsterGunny"?

3) Can a Master Gunnery Sergeant become "Sgt Major of the Marine Corps"???

The officer was missing his brown hat with the purple band on it the entire time he was dealing with me.

I hope to get the case dismissed because he was out of uniform... anyone else had this done before?

I'm looking for some examples of how the EU handles patent law and copyright law. The EU is MUCH more "free-trade" friendly than the USA in their harmonization of competition laws. I'm wondering how this applies to patents and copyrights in particular.

Some pamphlets you can get for suggestions about the best way for both soldier and spouse to "decompress" after a long deployment suggest that you should not have sex right away, but rather get to know each other again first. I would think that if you had gone without for months or even years, unless you were severely depressed or ill, you wouldn't be able to wait!

I know it's personal, but this is a pretty anonymous medium, and I'm curious. Did anyone here wait? If so, how long and why? Was it a good decision? If you didn't wait, after such a long time was it the awesomest sex ever?

I am 14 years of age,I live in Canada and am question whether we truly have freedom.I know a boy whom will remain nameless, who gave a negative remark about our Prime minister, now as rude as he was,he was givin a week of detention. However I believe that he should be able to say what he wants, because is this not a country of freedom? If I were to say to the prime minister to his face "In my opinion sir,you are a malefic, idiotic, fool!" would I not be punished?I begin to feel as though there is not such a thing called freedom.

No, its not between parents or what not.
I'm moving a province away from my parents (WITH THEIR PERMISSION) and im 16. However, the province I am moving to requires that either a paper lives there, or a legal guardian.
My parents and my friends parents (Who im moving in with).. Have both agreed that my parents will give Temporary custody to my friends parents while I am staying there..
However, we are not sure how you go about this?
Would I call city hall to get the papers? Is their a court hearing?
Like.. How do I go about this?

A friend of mine in Southern California has a small business (hypnotherapy) and, some time ago, asked a web designer to design a website for him. He did so. A year later, my friend got a letter from Getty Images saying, in a nutshell, that he owes them $1000 because he has a copyrighted image on his website. There was no prior cease-and-desist letter, though they apparently knew he started using the picture a year ago. He called the web designer, who said that he grabbed the image off a free-image website via a Google search (he can no longer locate that particular website), and that the image has no copyright imprint on it. He's not sure what to do and has until Dec. 1 to pay, oer Getty Images' demand letter. Anyone know what he should do? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

My wifes ex husband pays her $225 a month in child support. Her ex husband is now divorced for the third time. He pays ex wife #3 $1000 a month in child support. He said that his lawyer told him that if my wife took him back to court for child support modification that what the court would do is add the 1000+225 and divide it by 2 and that would mean she would get 612.50 per month in child support. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I have a friend in Syria that I am corresponding with through E-mails. She has given me her postal adress. I would like to perhaps send her things, little trinkets that might be a fun way to exchange culture. But I dont know if this is allowed and I dont know if she will have problems with her government by receiving regular mail from the U.S? Anyone have any insight? Especially anyone living in an arab country?
