I saw this in another poster's question. If you believe that the war against terror is the only way to free the world of a killing machine, how would it be moral to bring our troops home?

They struggle a lot to come to this country to find wokr and support their families in their countries of origin. You never see them asking for money in the streets on the freeway exits, instead they work in places like the farms and orange grooves, fields, construction, restaurants among other jobs that no other people would work. Do you think they should go back to their country? What would happen if all of them would live from the US??

I won't, mainly because it's on the other side of the country but also for the reason that my body armor is at the cleaners.

I have been seperated for 4 yrs now. My "Ex" keeps dragging out the divorce. I think it's a control thing. Anyway my fiancee and I have a 9mth old together and we live together. Legally isn't my 'husband' the father since we are still married?? I'm thinking about filing for child support from him for her. Can't I do that? I want to do that just to try and get his buns in gear and get this divorce finalized. What do you think? He is a complete loser and doesn't even pay the support for the 2 kids we have together - I know he wouldn't actually pay support for my 9mth old but he's legally responsible for any child born while we're still married, right?!

Would the Monroe Doctrine place limits on how much help we could accept from other countries, or is that even a factor?

We should let them join our military for 6 years, learn proper english and then given them citzenship upon completion...this will increase our arm forces, they will have to pay taxes, and be part of the building of our nation economy...

I have a friend who works with a man (born male) who is transgender. She really had no problem with this coworker until she was in the ladies restroom and ran into him/her. She felt that she should be able to go the "ladies" restroom without someone who is biologically a male in there. Who/what determines when a transgender is officially the other sex and able to go into what restroom? What do you think?

Add to that another person rushing the side of your vehicle holding a gun. Would you just sit there or would you try to get away even if it meant bumping into the other vehicle or the guy waving the gun?

I got into an accident and hired an attorney with absolutely no understanding of what was going on. They refered me to a Chiropractor. I went to see her every other day for a couple months. I got x-rays in the begining and then did the same routine everyday got on a massage table, layed with a warm pad on my back, and she cracked my neck, and attempted to crack my back with no luck.
Now I have recieved the settlement which was a total of 15,000. The attorney took 4,500. She asked for a total of 4,500, and the medical bills were small from the physical therapy. I ended up with 6000.00.
I recieve the Chiropractor billing paperwork after asking for it. It shows that I was charged 6 times in one day for different charges, then 5 on another day, 6 another, 4 another. I have 3 pages full of random charges. Knowing that she is fairly close to the Attorney I feel that this is fraudulent. There are other things that I am noticing that also seem questionable.
Who do I talk to about this?

Do Americans want to overcome the divides and look for common ground? Are Americans with opposing views still listening to each other? Or have the various factions tuned each-other out and written each-other off? And depending on your view of this, what does the future hold?
