Add to that another person rushing the side of your vehicle holding a gun. Would you just sit there or would you try to get away even if it meant bumping into the other vehicle or the guy waving the gun?

I once had a very similar situation, boxed in with aa vehicle behind and the doors all flying open, ahead of me a freshly plowed field 300' across between me and the next paved street.

Push the pedal to the metal and run someone over.
If I'm going to die it's going to be defending myself, not being a victim to them.
Think about it, they are most likely going to shoot you anyway, so make a run, or in your case, drive for it and run them over!
If you bump into the other cars, hopefully they see what is going on to help you!

Firstly, in this part of the world it is acceptable to defend yourself with all force necessary, up to and including deadly force, to stop an attacker that is a clear and present danger to the life of you or others.
The car I'm driving is expendable. First priority is to escape, even if that means denting the other vehicles and/or using the guy with the gun to provide traction for the tires. Should the escape attempt fail, well, this is exactly why bubba's like myself get CHLs...
I sincerely hope I never have to find out, but I like to think that if I am ever in such a situation that the 40 odd years of practice I have had in the practical use of firearms will come in handy.

I would pull my CCW 45 acp and cap the guy with the gun, then open up on the other cars. I would then spin out, hit the trunk release and grab the mini-14 in the trunk to finish off the rest of the miscreants. If I won that fight I would take any cash they had and drive home. Let the vultures clean them up.

I would grab the Mac 10 off my front seat as it was happening and shoot the guy with the gun first. Then I'd make like Meatloaf and be a bat out of hell! The Mac holds 30 rounds of .45 ACP plus the one I keep chambered so unless there are a ton of them I should be able to survive a shoot out.

As long as we are talking about civilians, I would mow em down like a field of wheat to a Combine. For a minute, I thought you might be referencing the shooting in New York...no hesitation, if I think it is possible they are intending me harm, I'd squash em like the bugs they are.

I would get on the cell phone and dial 911 or the Mayor's office
Thsi case is just like the one a few years ago where they unleased a volley of bullets, the reason they kept shooting was that the bullets ricocheted off the wall hit things by the officers so that they THOUGHT they were being fired on

i would get the hell out of there. if you don't try to do something you would definately have something happen to you. i would manually move the vehicle or the guy.
