Can you believe this - the other night there was loads of teens gobbing off outside my house and then this loud banging noise. So I looked out the window and the police were there following them down the road walking, and this teen was kicking every car on the road as hard as he could as he walked past and the police did nothing just said calm down. Anyway as I had the light on in the bedroom the policeman see me looking out the window and gave me a sarcastic wave and smiled as if I shouldn't be looking! So I went out there and said about this kid kicking the cars and he said don't worry about it his drunk so I made him give me his torch and check every single car down my road cos I said if they were damaged then he'd pay for them!! Talk about helpful police or am I wrong????

First of all, I apologize if this is vague or incoherent.

I know it's pretty idealistic, but I want a career that allows me to protect those who can't always do it themselves. I've thought about joining the army, being a police officer, and the FBI, but in the end none of those seem to fit exactly what I want.

Ideally I could be a UN peacekeeper, but unfortunately the UN army only lives off of what member countries donate, and I'm not sure individual soldiers have any say in whether or not they work for the UN or the U.S. Government.

I would really like to have a clearer idea of my final destination though, so that I can began attaining the skills and training I'll need to succeed in such a career. I don't want to spend four years in college, and come out realizing I've studied something that has no relevance to what I want.

This is what it reads, not seperation of church and state! Bill of Rights
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

As is the world population is increasing at an alarming rate. The world's resources aren't increasing either. Shouldn't we discourage large families at least for a short period of time say 50- 100 years? I am not arguing for policies like in China, but to stop tax breaks for families with more than two kids.

Why do people immediately think it is unethical to be against large families? Reproduction is a right and responsibility of the parents, not some favor done to the rest of the population who are least concerned if you have kids or not

Im 24 and recently decided to go back to school to get a degree in the mathematical and meterological field. I've always wanted to become an officer in the USAF or Navy but unforseen circumstances caused me to put it off till now. Which is the best way for me to go about becoming an officer enlist and try to get into the OTC or continue school and go through the ROTC Program.

this is a direct quote from the whitehouse website from a speech made some weeks ago. What is he referring to? 9/11??
Did Muslims blow up the WTC buildings on 9/11, if George W. Bush admits explosives were used?
WHITEHOUSE WEBSITE:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/...

Press Conference of the President, The Rose Garden, 11:15 A.M. EDT

"For example, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed described the design of planned attacks
of buildings inside the U.S. and how operatives were directed to carry them
out. That is valuable information for those of us who have the responsibility
to protect the American people. He told us the operatives had been instructed
to ensure that the explosives went off at a high -- a point that was high
enough to prevent people trapped above from escaping."

you can find it on the whitehouse website

Last night, one of your compratiots stated that the American farmers, herdsmen etc whooped the **** off the British in the So called War of Independance!
I say that you have never won a war on your own!

Declaration of independance: 1776.

1777 War becomes global.
French, Spanish, Netherlands, Canada enter war on your side.

French navy defeat British at Chesapeake Bay.
British Army trapped at Yorktown 1781

1783 Paris peace treaty signed.

As for "Farmers" etc.
Continental Army 17 regiments.
Militia, 14 Regiments.
French Division. French Dragoon Regiment
2 Canadian regiments!

Taking a guess, you guys are just born lucky!

Recently a young boy was killed as he slipped while jaywalking in the middle of the street and a car hit him. What if any charges could there be brought upon the driver who killed him. He was not drunk.

Thank you for any responses.

I was today, and it really changed my attitude toward the world of motorists. This is what happened; I was riding my bike to school this morning to take a History test. When I arrived at the cross street that my school resides, I pushed the "request to walk" button on the light pole, and after I recieved my walking man sign I attempted to simply cross the street. Then a completely oblivious old lady almost slowly crushed me while I was pinned on my bike. She was not too old, about 50-55, and she was looking at the guy on the median handing out church flyers, instead of looking forward. She creeped to a short-lived stop on the big white line, and began to creep forward more. Before I knew it her car was pushing me over, and about to (slowly) roll right over me. The only reason this lady FINALLY stopped was because in my rage I began to pound the crap out of her hood. I went to her window, and commanded, "ROLL YOUR F*CK'N WINDOW DOWN". The next sound I heard was the doors lock!
