How about rising up and doing something about the corrupt people in power, the corrupt police. Mexican people are smart, they have a good work ethic and Mexico has many natural resources. Mexico could have a thriving economy.

a fee payment must be discussed, before an evaluation is made regarding a possibility to undertake any legal action. Depending on the severity of the case,it will be prioritized and reviewed at the discretion of the local presiding judge. Have legal counsel handy before consulting an attorney. The law is on your side if your an outlaw. Whenever a misdemeaner occurs, it can not be dealt with until it becomes a felony.

I have a contract working in USA for three years, the company that brought me here said I could come and bring my husband with me, but there was a condition I have to arrive first and my husband three months later. Three months after I have arrived, they gave me the papers for my husband get the visa but the American Embassy in Colombia said he couldn't get a visa because he was supposed to ask for the visa the same day I did.
We didn't do so because the company rules were different and they just sent papers for me when I wentot to the embassy to get my visa.
Now I cannot quit my job and my husband is not here.
Could anybody tell me what can I do for helping my husband to get the visa?
I am here completly alone and I am very depressed.

If you have emigrated to the United States and now hold a Green Card, could you give me any advice with regard to how to get a card, i.e. if you were placed via an agency or found an employer in the US that is willing to sponsor applicants for green cards. I am having no luck in finding agencies that specialise in finding sponsorships for Green Cards. I basically just want to find an employer who is willing to sponsor me.
Thanks!

Red Fridays.

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support
our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We
are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for
God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We
are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends,
simply want to recognize that the vast majority of
America supports our troops. Our idea of showing
solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and
respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and
every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a
deafening message that ... every red-blooded American
who supports our men and women afar, will wear
something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United
States on every Friday a sea of red much like a
homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every
one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will
not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it
will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is
on their side more than ever, certainly more than the
media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can
we do to make things better for you?" is ..."We need
your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out
and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear
something red every Friday.

WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE!!

I know that crossing the border without permission is wrong but when people are desperate to provide food for their families they will do anything to survive. Americans are very fortunate and somehow and somewhere have lost their human compassion and have fallen into this souless creatures. I rather have illegals come in and work for their food then provide a bunch of lazy americans with welfare because they feel we should carry them and the generations they are breeding with the same lifestyle. I feel the people with hatred, racism and black hearts are the only people who call them criminals. When people are hungry all reasoning is out the window

Is this overly optimistic ? I am all for a bi partisan approach to achieving the best possible outcome. Either way I fear we may be there in some fashion for the next 20 years. Does anyone think we can " get it right"? House and Senate was a tad hard on the generals yesterday.

Where I live, there are many Unions for militarily employed persons- the largest being the Officers Union, who if they feel that the pay is not reflecting the risk, might boycott missions abroad and such.

Why isn't there- or is there?- a Union of American soldiers that watch out for their rights and make sure they get everything they are entitled for economically, in healthcare and in education? As well as working on improving soldiers' rights?

It is true, that soldiers aren't allowed to express themselves politically in public, however, certainly they should have a right to a strong union?

If someone is offered nonjudicial punishment under Article 15 and it includes extra duty he doesn't want to do, what steps can he take? For example, how long does he have to decide whether or not to accept the Article 15? If he chooses to exercise his right to a court martial, does is it true he still has to do the extra duty in the mean time? Does he have the right to legal council before deciding whether or not to accept the Article 15?

What is the standard of living like in your country? What do you measure it against? What changes would have to happen for you to want to leave, and where would you go?

I realise that this is a stream of questions, but they are all related, and I would like to hear some sensible answers - the world is changing, the imminent collapse of national economies is being predicted and immigration and unemployment are changing the socio-political-economic face of the world. Thoughts please?

A company owes me $3,000 for furniture they never delivered from May 2006. I do not want to go to court, but at this point, I see no other option. (I even requested a BBB mediator to no avail).

My question is two-fold. #1 Could I send a demand letter to the furniture company stating that if they do not settle out of court and should they be found guilty in court—they will owe me an additional $1000 for court fees, transportation, lawyer fees, and missed work.

#2 Secondly, would the court support this and if so what is the best way to go about presenting my NJ case.
