I know that crossing the border without permission is wrong but when people are desperate to provide food for their families they will do anything to survive. Americans are very fortunate and somehow and somewhere have lost their human compassion and have fallen into this souless creatures. I rather have illegals come in and work for their food then provide a bunch of lazy americans with welfare because they feel we should carry them and the generations they are breeding with the same lifestyle. I feel the people with hatred, racism and black hearts are the only people who call them criminals. When people are hungry all reasoning is out the window

I believe we as Americans are the most fortunate people in the world, but that doesn't mean we can solve the world's problems. We have never turned people away. The problem is that the people crossing the border illegally are not JUST hungry, decent, hardworking humans. There are terrorists, drug dealers, rapists, and murders also coming through. We have to abide by our laws and so should anyone else who wants to be an American. That is also part of the problem. Some want to come here and take advantage of our great nation, but don't want to be a part of it. They still raise their Mother Country's flag instead of ours, they speak their native language instead of ours. They do not want to pay taxes like all Americans should. What is the difference if we have lazy Americans or if we have illegals using our system and our tax dollars? If you want to be in America, then you need to do it the legal way and become an American. Only then are you entitled to our freedoms and rights.

Its sounds to me as if this persons "compassion"has some how taken a wrong turn.It seems only for the people coming here illegally and not for the people that are legal citizens of the USA.This person has obvious leanings toward the welfare and benefit of the illegals over legal Americans,Americans are not lazy we are some of the most enterprising in the world.Americans have invented many of the things that makes life easier for all people from all nations.We are not lazy,we work hard and we play hard and we enjoy the joys of both.This person holds a hatred for the USA and seems to hate its people too.I believe in America first last and always and I love ALL her people ,all not just a selected few.Some people need the help of welfare,they are old ,disabled.or children that need to be fed.Yes the system is abused by some ,but not all.Welfare was designed to be a helping hand not a way of life and needs to be overhauled to weed out the schemers.But if it helps one person,one child,one family to eat a decent meal,to obtain medical care for the sick......then its worth the money my taxes pay for it.........

I am against illegal immigration but it is not because I have lost my compassion or have a black heart. What it comes down to is very simple, Our country can not afford to provide proper services for our own people much less millions of people who do not belong here. There is also the issue of the people who have been waiting to get here the legal way and are coming from much worse situations than the ones just walking in who have to continue to wait because they get pushed to the back of the line when amnesty bills are passed.
I like you do not like the lazy Americans getting handouts but by letting illegals in (largely unskilled and uneducated) we are adding to the people on the handout list. I do feel bad for the malnourished and desperate people trying to do better for themselves but we cannot take on the poor of every country and forget about the ones of this country.
Here is one more thing to think about, the number of other than Mexican coming across the borders has risen drastically and of those otm's a large portion is from terrorist supporting countries. What is their purpose for coming? Is it for a better life or to kill Americans? Without any control of who comes in we will not know that answer until it is too late.

Many people have come here legally and worked hard only to have to support helath care and education for illegals. There are 2 key words there "wrong" and "illegal". Unfortunately they apply in this case. Agreed that no one should be hungry and the welfare system stinks but until the word illegal is removed the law stands. The middle class American Male , by way of his income taxes, is footing the lion's share of the expense for "illegals" as well as the lazy a**es on welfare and the tax burden is so great that he is finally going under from the load, and demanding that something be done. The government, in it's infinite wisdom, has decided that doing something with illegals is easier than dealing with welfare.

Then quit bringing children into that poverty stricken life. Illegal means just that. Is it okay to break the law just because your family needs something. I think not. As for the welfare system, it needs to be fixed. It should be a second chance not a way of life. If people are hungry is it okay to rob a bank to buy food? Here's my stand on immigration. I know that most of the immigrants come here for a better life. It's easy to make it over here. But come on people!! There are way too many here illegally and it puts a huge strain on the economy. If they want to provide a better life for their family, do it legally dammit! And learn the language! Do you know how annoying it is to call about your cell phone bill, electric bill, etc. and have to press 1 for English? Or to be rejected from numerous well paying jobs because you're not bilingual? Think about how it would feel if your country was overrun and your nationally recognized language was going kapooty because people wanted a "better life for their family." Thank you and good night.
