To answer this one needs to consider what the conflict will be about. The likely source of conflict is control of energy resources - oil money. So who could be on the list:

China
India
Pakistan
North Korea
Iran

None are very likely to turn into real enemies very soon with the exception of Iran. However, all have or are close to having nuclear weapons. This would make it a very risky venture to attack any of them.

I really think the US is running out of boogey men to chase.

Here in America. Enough traditionalists will put down the politically correct crowd and re-claim America I believe. Otherwise, the next war will be here anyway when the radical Muslims get hold of WMD's and destroy part of a city.

There won't be another American War for a long time. They are just stuck in this one no matter where the wind blows. The US resources are all tapped out. If the US borrows much more they will all be speaking Chinese or Japanese soon.
