That is exactly what most Americans want to find out. Most of us also want to find out exactly WHY we went there in the first place. The reason was changed a number of times. This Administration has never put forth a legitimate answer. We deserve one. The families of the dead and wounded deserve one.

No one wants to admit that was is required to solve the middle east problem is judicious use of nuclear weapons. Everyone wants to pretend that muslims aren't the enemy and that all we need to do is help them to change.
All that will change with the first city that is destroyed in nuclear terrorism. If it happens here, it will trigger a lengthy ground war where we systematically remove those responsible from power and then work to make sure that the people there have no access to anything that would make them a problem ever again.
If it happens in Europe, they will likely respond with carpet bombing the entire middle east killing a certain percentage of everyone there. People who are liberal wackos tend to overcompensate the other way when it is their own neck on the line.
But God help us all if its a city in China or Russia that goes up (note that these are the most likely first targets). Those people are nucking futz and won't bat an eyelash at killing every single thing in the entire middle east.

If you are in Iraq I wish you well. If you are in US thank your troops for fighting on your behalf. If Iraq would take out their own trash we would not have troops there. We have military bases in Hawaii that I am sure our men and women would prefer to be at.
Clinton's failure to act when 2 US embassies, 1 navy ship, 1 marine barracks, and 1 building on US land was attacked made 9/11 reality. Should we continue to play hear no evil, see no evil speak no evil or should we attack the problem before it attacks us?
If you are an average citizen in Iraq I am sorry but the warlords running the mid east must not be allowed to impose their will and way of life here.

When George W. Bush stood in NYC and said if you are not with us you are against us. I was 100% with him. However I didn't realize he was going to perform an act of war in our names. He can't find Bin Laden. Couldn't then can't now. So he connected the dots to make it look like Iraq was somehow involved in 9/11, worked the American people into a fury and then invaded Iraq to make us safer. The Islamic fundamentalists seem crazy to us. How do the Bush extremists appear to the rest of the world? My guess is just as crazy.

Don't let them fool you. First of all NO ONE who mattered in Iraq asked the US to come and "liberate" them.No one who lives in Iraq extended that iinvitation. Not a soul. And Bush can humble himself all he wants. But please. No white man has ever wanted to "free "liberate" or provide a "democracy" for people of color in the history of mankind! So please. The Bush administration does not care about the Iraqi people. They never have. They never will. And Yes, The US has killed Iraqi civilians. They even killed some of their own! They call it collateral. humm...The major contractors are pulling out. They have had it. They started some jobs; finished some jobs, but most are left unfinished. And most of the US troops who helped in the rebuilding, made REPAIRS. Few of them actally built NEW hospitals, clinics, schools. So don't let them fool you. Iraq is destroyed.
Thank Georgie Boy who thought it would be a cakewalk.

Removing Saddam from power and condemning him to death is not a good reason?
Rebuilding schools, hospitals, infrastructure which Iraqis could NOT do is not a good reason?
Destroying much of the Baath Party is not a good reason?
The only people who are killing citizens in Iraq are JIHADISTS.

Yes, Nothing has been accomplished over there. It's for no reason. Get off of Moveon.org and you might find out why we are really over there and all the great things that have been accomplished. Ahhemm.. Maybe the fact that the Iraqi people FREELY ELECTED their own Government for the first time? Oh but that's not a reason. Bush staged that for political purposes.

we've been there since 2003. get a new calender. Since you don't know the dates, I'm thinking you will even be less able to understand the reason we are there in the first place.

Exactly. (I'm assuming this is a rhetorical question) It's to bring life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness -- the American Dream to the Iraqis. Have 2.5 children, a dog and a cat, a 30 year mortgage at 9.95%, an early coronary heart attack, diabetes, high blood pressure, a job with low pay and a boss you'd love to stab, and most importantly, happy hour at 3-7 pm, an early divorce with child support, and prime time television.
Don't forget, Iraqi citizens have died senslessly too.
