Am I the only one who saw that the poll numbers on most elections last night were very close. That hardly equates to "The American People kicking Republican Butt" or "A Mandate". Your side won, congratulations. But the Republican / conservative citizens arent going away or shutting up just because you did. Isn't the trash talking overdone and put your side in a rude light?

I don't understand what the Democrats strategy is for Iraq.

They said they want to withdraw forces from Iraq - are they merely afraid of casualties?

How come they never said they want to win in Iraq?

What is it about helping Iraq achieve democracy that it bothers them so much they want to lose in Iraq?

Very confusing.

When democrats have 50 already, the only have 49. If they win Viginia it will be 50/50. Is it because the Vice president, Dick Cheney, is the deciding vote in the event of a tie?

I'm confused, because I always thought that everything was split equally between the parties in terms of like, positions in the House and Senate and stuff. And now since these elections, the Democrats have 'won control of the House'. what does this mean??

In light of how the GOP has just been absolutely shellacked by the Democrats, if Bush were eligible to run for a third term (hypothetically) do you think he could win?

Clarity
I think what you'll find,
I think what you'll find is,
Whatever it is we do substantively,
There will be near-perfect clarity
As to what it is.

And it will be known,
And it will be known to the Congress,
And it will be known to you,
Probably before we decide it,
But it will be known.

I'm sure you know ... I thought it was kinda ... sweet .... :)

All of my husbands work tools were stolen 3 days ago. Insurance co says we are not covered for the loss. Is there any kind of victims assistance that can help us. Our loss is in excess of $10,000.00 and we don't know what to do

Democrats won, FAIR AND SQUARE.

I am going to going to say thay anyone cheated, that I was disenfranchised, that the country is going to fall apart.

I've noticed that the difference between Democrats and Republicans is that liberals treat politics like it's a religion while Republicans take it seriously enough but don't get carried away.

Two years ago when Bush won, Democrats were apoplectic. Michael Moore said he didn't leave his bed for 3 days.

I am well-prepared to accept defeats which only makes victories more profoundly gratifying. I am optimistic that my side will win in the future, I don't wallow in self-pity. I've noticed that my fellow conservatives are the same way.

I bet liberals are surprised to see more Republicans are magnanimous in defeat than they were in the last 6 years?

It is going to be a while before we know for sure just how good or bad he performs, but what do you think?? What about the fact that he is a close family friend of the Bush clan?

The Democrats have won the House, but samples of voters across the country support the idea that people were not voting for Democrats, but rather against Republicans. Do the Democrats have a mandate for change? or were voters sending a message to the GOP?

This is not intended as a partisan question so I would appeciate it if both sides would leave the bashing at the door.

I've spotted a real danger if we get too many windfarms in the UK. Terrorists (The government says there are thousands of them here) could turn them all one way overnight and we'd drive off to the North Pole or somewhere.
