Given the fairly overwhelming vote against Republican Neo-Cons in America, will we see a sea-change in American Foreign Policy, and hopefully some steps toward regaining stability in the world ?

You know how a pub can "bar" you? Well is it possible for a worker in a restaurant to tell a customer this without requiring legal backup? I know an ASBO would work but the owners of the restaurant don't want to go down any route which would involve the police.

Is there actually anything in the law books which supports what pubs do? Any link to relevant UK laws would be great.

Background info is basically that an ex-girlfriend of one of the staff is threatening to kill the ex (but doesn't have a knife on her) and also enters areas where no customers are allowed. There are plenty of witnesses but the managers are worried about police due to other issues, mainly involving the nationality of eh ex and some people in the business. Also there are no security recordings, although this may be my next suggestion.

Thanks :)

For Ephedrine? It's illegal for military members but not for civilians.

Will they be testing for ephedrine? Or just drugs like weed and coke?

Answer these questions for me if you will. Why do the majority of international nations hate the United States? Will the United States ever re-gain it's reputation as a respectable and likeable nation. Do you think it's partly due to arrogance and imperialism? Or, are these characteristcs the markings of the western world?

Franklin hired ABC Roofing, Inc. to install a new tar and gravel roof on his duplex. Using a kettle and pumping device parked in a driveway next to the duplex, the roofing crew transported hot tar to the roof. When the gravel truck arrived, the crew moved the kettle and pumping device to make room for the truck. After the gravel was deposited on the roof, crew members realized they needed 50 more gallons of tar to complete the job. The foreman then directed employee Bob to carry 10 five-gallon buckets of hot tar up a ladder to the roof. While performing this task, Bob fell off the ladder and was burned by hot tar.

Bob sought workers' compensation benefits for his injuries. He also sued Franklin, the owner of the duplex, alleging two theories of recovery: that Franklin had been negligent in selecting ABC as a roofer; and that, because of the inherent danger of working with hot tar, Franklin should, under the doctrine of peculiar risk, be liable for injuries to Bob that resulted from ABC's negligence.

IMHO, you guys really seem to take it up a notch beyond most Western democracies. The Bush hating really seems a little unseemly from this outsiders perspective. Over here I'd have to say we usually don't really like the guys on any of the sides all that much. While there are differences, don't we all get a lot of the same no matter who you vote in?

" In a speech at the US Chamber of Commerce, Bush said that the final immigration reform bill should include a temporary worker program and provide steps for illegal immigrants to obtain eventual citizenship."

Bush also stated "The middle ground recognizes there are differences between an illegal immigrant who crossed the border recently, and someone who has worked here for many years who's got a home, a family, and a clean record. My position is clear: I believe that illegal immigrants who have roots in our country and who want to stay should have to pay a meaningful penalty for breaking the law, to pay their taxes, to learn English, and to work in a job for a number of years. People who meet these conditions should be eventually permitted to apply for citizenship like other foreign workers."

Since the new Congress and possibly Senate, will have a Democrat majority, what do you think will happen with immigration? Your thoughts?

I'm afraid Gates will be more low-key and "respectful" of the Dems' moronic committee chairmen - a losing move every time.
