Given the fairly overwhelming vote against Republican Neo-Cons in America, will we see a sea-change in American Foreign Policy, and hopefully some steps toward regaining stability in the world ?

Thanks Bexx. Leave his thingy out to dry, and if any crystals form on it, it's a sure thing. You could taste the crystals, and have a virtual enjoyment of his fecklessness.

Hope? Yes! Think? I don't know! Boosh and his administration has things so screwed up and the biggest deficit we've ever seen, it's going to take a near miracle to fix things. Let's all hope congress will work together for the good of the American people and stop their partisan ways.
Let's see if the neocons learned anything by the statement made on Tues. One big problem is, it seems these neocons will cut their noses off just to spite their faces.

Given that Rumsfeld has resigned and there will be a new chief in the Pentagon, plus the fact that Bush seems to no longer hold the majority (as I understand it) then it is highly likely that there will be a change. Whether it is a sea of change, remains to be seen.

No because all politicians no matter what party they say they represent are all in the pay of the military and commercial leaders who need the wars and death to keep making their fortunes and to keep their jobs, don't be taken in by the smiling faces of some nonentity who appears to promise a change in politics these are only the front men.

The United Statesian foreign policy is dictated by the President of the United States, that has not changed. How he goes about the business of conducting foreign policy though will change.

finally! all of us is beginning their eyes to make certain the certainty and the info displayed right here communicate for themselves. After that great answer from gypsy_cat 345, i don't have a lot to declare different than that folk like Vanessa ought to examine out the bigger photograph and make her very own tests, particularly than believing in what the media choose human beings to have faith. additionally, i do no longer think of human beings ought to balme the Islamic faith for the movements of ignorant so-called Muslims who declare they're appearing on its behalf. secondly, i do no longer think of Israel is largely a small u . s . a . that needs to be left on my own. If this replaced into the case it does no longer have waged an entire-blown conflict on lebanon, killing 1000's of persons with the intention to regain 2 of their infantrymen who have been captured via Hezbollah. shouldn't they think of roughly freeing the 1000's of 1000's of lebanese prisoners at the instant in Israel! Thirdly, Muslims don't have something against Jews. the situation is with the Zionists and Israelis. BTW, i'm no longer Lebanese. i'm basically asserting what i beleive is the certainty

well this is a very interesting situation... bush is facing his final 2yrs with out congress support to see through his divine mission. in a sense he is backed into a corner, but his hands are not tied, he is still the president. so the question remains... is he going to try face saving the next couple of years to ensure a republican win at the next election... or is he going to reveal his true nature... go completely la la and press the red button?
the man is truely a loose cannon, i wouldn't bet either way. i i bet the people who put him there as a puppet are a bit worried now too.

you americans seem to have forgot some thing, the enemy, these incoming party that may be taking over there plans will only work if the enemy wants peace, they may attack america again and draw them into and keep them in the situation that bush is in. i am not sure about this but if i remember right when bush first came out he was talking about leaving the world stage and just looling after america, if hedid they soon dragged him back in,

I believe that our foreign policy will change as a result of the elections. It can only improve. The stepping down of Rumsfeld is a first step (and a pretty fast one at that). Karl Rove (Bush's brain) realizes that he, Cheney & Bush's days of running roughshod over everyone who disagrees with their policies are over. So it will be interesting to watch, won't it?

Americas enemies can now relax, the dreamers are now in power. At least the White House still has a veto.
