In light of how the GOP has just been absolutely shellacked by the Democrats, if Bush were eligible to run for a third term (hypothetically) do you think he could win?

The GOP may run his brother. But after this drubbing, if the democrats can find a decent candidate, they should easily take the White House. That is if they can avoid shooting themselves in the foot like the GOP did in the last few months!

Actually, we've had it much worse. This was far from a shellacking, as had occured in 1986 or 1994. But that would require you to have a knowledge of history - something I no longer expect of Democrats.

A small Democrat majority if both houses means they get nothing their way without GOP buy-in. Let's see if they play nicely or if they have to get slapped down for their arrogance.

The GOP has enough votes to prevent the Dems from enacting stupidity, thank goodness.
