Well I hadn't heard but thank you for making my day even better then when I found out about the successful democrats!!!! I'm sure that he has no problem retiring from all the cash he's got from this. Funny he is resiging instead of staying and finishing the mess that this administration has started. How easily he can walk away from all those americans that he's sent to Iraq who are giving up their lives. What a coward.

Not really. Unless the libs wake up and realize that we are in a WAR for our survival, then we might as well lay down and get ready for the destruction of our country. These people are dedicated in their desire to kill all Americans! This isn't about Democrats and Republicans. It's about facing the enemy or running away. And make no mistake, if we run, we will be destroyed. It may be time for a change at the top, but the focus had better be the same to try and protect our country and not let the extremists roll over our borders!

The really sad thing is that the war has been so politicized that it was impossible to evaluate what kind of job he did.
It is even sadder that his leaving is seen as a political victory. Makes me feel that people are not really interested in who would do the best job - but in punishing the military.

I am sad that it was necessary, that it did not happen quite some time ago, but grateful that it is done.
Sad that people are having the "victory feelings" so exemplified in this forum, reflexively giving in to their tribal drives, rather than try and increase their understanding of the complexities of the issues, and directing their energies toward solutions rather than partisanship.

Obviously neither him nor the United Statesian president were planning on this, but since it is likely to be the first thing the new Speaker of the House would tackle they thought might as well get on with it and prevent it from further weakening the GOP's overall position.
Am I glad? yeah he had to go.

I couldn't be happier. I've felt for years that he is a dangerous, callous individual who has held his own self interest, and those of the oval office and cabinet, in mind over those of the real security of our nation.

Aye...he wasn't doing half of what he should have been doing. He won't be selling any good books to be sure.
