I was just recently informed that my brother is going to Fort Hood, Texas for the last 8 or 9 months of his contract he signed up for with the Army. I am aware that alot of people get shipped off to Iraq from Fort Hood, but does everyone? also if he only has that amount of time left, would they even bother shipping him off to Iraq? Isn't there a minimum amount of time you have to serve in Iraq..like a year or something? Thank you for your time.

In the government class I am taking we are having "presidential elections" that are suppose to be like we are running for the President of the United States. I was nominated for one of those people. I have some problems down already like gas prices, illegal immigrants, and healthcare. The problem is I am a little short so I need some ideas on another major problem in America. If you have any ideas that would be great. (make sure to tell me why you said that thanks)

Just because something is yours doesn't mean it's right or the best. This country's prime was the first 75 years of its existence.

They label poor white people "Rednecks" because they are angry and uneducated, yet they give a free pass to uneducated angry minorities like blacks and Latinos. Are they racists? Also, are they bigots for thinking that conservatives are racists?

Do they know that there are more poor white people in America than poor blacks?

Dems holding leads in many pivotal races

The article explains how the Democrats actually wouldn't win if the election were today. If the eletion were today, they wouldn't win the number of seats they need to get control of the House and Senate. Yet, the headline reads "Democrats holding leads in many pivotal races."

Why doesn't it read "Democrats might come up short" ? The map they have is also colored Democrat Blue, even though the Democrats aren't winning.

"LA PLUME, Pa. (Oct. 20) - President Bush campaigned Thursday for a congressman who has confessed to adultery and a senator accused of racial insensitivity, seeking to boost incumbent Republicans once safe for re-election but now in peril."

Which party has integrity? or if that's too ideal, which candidate will have integrity in 2008?

The Supreme Court vacated the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals today on the Arizona Voter ID Law (Proposition 200, voted on and approved by Arizona voters in 2004). The 9th Circuit had recently enjoined the law without allowing for a finding of fact by the District Court, which is kind of necessary in these cases.

So Arizona's law stands for this election (and probably will stand). The Supreme Court decision noted that the Arizona law does not necessarily result in the turning away of qualified and registered voters because if a voter shows up at a polling place without identification, he or she has five business days to return to a pre-identified site to show proper ID.
