In Russsia and other former 'Comecon' regions, communism doesn't still rule but communist still have complete control over the new ideology of capitalism. Here in Czech Republic, the inner sanctum of former high ranking communist officials have managed to retain control of almost everything of value including government policy and most regretably, the hearts and minds of the people.
I do not believe the nazi party of Germany is any longer a force to be reckoned with.

I accept what you say about Germany's infrastructure assisting the Soviets in occupying Germany and the absence thereof hampering the Germans on the Eastern Front. But it's by no means the only important factor. 'General Winter' played a decisive role too in halting the Germany advance to Moscow in 1941 and killing hundreds of thousands of German/Axis soldiers. Hitler's refusal to allow a breakout from Stalingrad before the Soviet's completed encircling the city sacrificed 300,000 men. The Soviets were tipped off about the planned German encirclement of the Soviet army at Kursk and Hitler threw everything into that battle. After losing it, he blamed the generals and increasingly interfered in the planning of the war similar to how Stalin did in 1941-2 which had led to defeats by the Germans. Stalin's eventual hands-off approach and Hitler's later micromanagement complimented each other in ensuring the Nazi defeat from late 1942-45.

If your question is are their still people in Germany who would like to see the Nazi regime back just as there are people in the former USSR who would like to see communism back the answer is of course yes. However I think you would find more fascists in the US than in Germany. When people feel threatened and do not like to think for themselves there is always a chance for a man on horseback to take over.

Though there are probably nazis in Germany, they are not in control. They are probably small in number. The Germans paid the price for supporting Hitler with their crushing defeat during WWII when almost all of their infrastructure was destroyed as well as millions of Germans killed during the war.

Communism does not rule like it did in the days of the KGB. People are more aware of what the truth is than the fu--ed up propaganda the governments hand out.
Yes in Germany their are still followers of the Third Reich because foreigners who come over to there country are taking 50% less money for what a western person gets and it is pissing them off.

Well, obviously the Nazi regime was destroyed sixty years ago.
But
there are still a fair few ex-nazi's around who got off scott-free. And poorer Eastern Germany has some problems with neo-nazis.
The Nazi's only existed with the complicity of the majority of german people. Around fifty percent of German people at the time VOTED for Hitler.
Scary stuff eh?

Germany has spent the last sixty years coming to terms with, and making reparation for, the Nazi regime.
Modern Germany is a long long way from the Nazis.
