I posed a question a few minutes ago stating that I dislike both Liberal and Conservative talk radio hosts because they are "yes" men for their perspective parties. I used Rush Limbaugh as my example and immediately many people became angry that I would call into question his character/motivations. Maybe I’m mistaken and I just don’t listen to him enough to make an educated opinion. I listen to Rush maybe one hour a week. In that time I have never heard him state something positive that he likes about democrats/liberals. Also, I have very rarely heard him criticize anything about the Republican Party. If he really felt that there was no good in having a second opposing party then he would support a single-party state government. So I guess my question is do you think Rush Limbaugh is a “yes” man for the Republican Party. If you don’t think he is, please list a few positive things he’s said about democrats…..Thanks

If you support a criminal act, you are pro-crime. Agree or disagree. I am open to both opinions, this is a forum after all. Discussion is encouraged. But how can one say that illegals are not criminals? If they aren't criminals then why do they need amnesty?

President Bush Has Lowest IQ of all Presidents of past 50 Years
If late night TV comedy is an indicator, then there has never been as widespread a perception that a president is not intellectually qualified for the position he holds as there is with President GW Bush.

In a report published Monday, the Lovenstein Institute of Scranton, Pennsylvania detailed its findings of a four month study of the intelligence quotient of President George W. Bush.

Since 1973, the Lovenstein Institute has published it's research to the education community on each new president, which includes the famous "IQ" report among others.

BEFORE YOU ANSWER, READ EVERYTHING I HAVE TO SAY.
IT IS VERY ENLIGHTENING.
Conservatives generally carry these ideals:
Balancing the budget, small govt, limited govt, moral values...

But Neoconservatives have impulsively done this:
$8.5 trillion deficit, big business-supported government, new controversial laws being passed all the time because of "national security" that increases the power of the govt to the point of beyond extemity, and misleading the American public about the war without reluctance.

You really shouldn't identify yourself with radical neo-conservative beliefs unless you want to be known as a neoconservative.
True conservatives would not support the government's actions.
I would hope you still support traditional conservative values.

I have talked to many former republicans who have switched to libertarians in order to remain true to the core conservative beliefs.

Did republicans switch from conservative to neoconservative once Bush came along?

From the Military Commissions Act to the Patriot Act - we are under assault by the party that so far controls ALL 3 branchs of government. There is no stopping them unless we gain control of one or two Houses and re instate Congressional Oversight.

I was watching TV recently, and I saw part of a news flash, about a city that now had marijuana legalized, pretty much the most of what i heard was that people from this city were now able to by marijuana from goverement sanctioned shops without the fear of prosecution.

I don't want or care for posts that don't answer my question, including why this is stupid or not.

I have a neighbor who raises about 20 horses on his 5 acre property. Not only are they very noisy and smelly, once a month, about 40 cars arrive and dozens of people ride the horses around the property kicking up dust.

I don't know if he sells these horses or runs a city slicker horse riding school.. don't know exactly.

So what can I do about this. Isn't it illegal to raise so many horses and run a business out of the home? He's also annoying because he runs his tractor at 3 in the morning. Asked him to stop but he keeps doing it, which I will report to the cops for noise ordiance violation soon.

Can't move because I just built this brand new home then this guy builds his right next door.

1. They only want a better life for theselves and their families.
Fact: Greed is not a legitimate reason for crime. Who does not want abetter life?
2. they cannot make a living in their country
Then why is only a very small percentage (usually single, male) coming here and not SO many more if it is really SO bad?
3. They have a right to work and better themselves
Fact: Possibly true-IN THIER OWN COUNTRY!
4 The US should pump money into those countries to help their economy
Fact: Wellfare on EVERY level hurts the giver and receiver! Those country's citizens need to fix their own problems!
5. Illegals are GOOD for our economy
Fact: they are a proven burden on healthcare, they do not pay income taxes. EVERY argument on this has been proven FALSE!!
6. They are law abiding citizens
Fact: 1 they are not citizens. 2 you cannot be illegal and law abiding at the same time, look up the words 3 illegals commit 8 times the crimes than ANY other identifiable group!

I consider myself a moderate and rarely vote for a politician based on what party they are with. I enjoy being an informed voter and I base my decisions entirely on platforms and personality. That being said, I listen to both Liberal and Conservative talk radio. I was just wondering if anyone else is tired of these hosts being "yes" men for their perspective parties. I think the worst may be Rush Limbaugh. Last week he was talking about how those underage pages thought this was a big joke and he described Foley as a poor victim. Who agrees or disagrees that these hosts are mostly Hippocrates that will follow party lines no matter what?

In recent days and weeks, the mainstream media have repeatedly claimed that the Republican base is suffering from "low voter enthusiasm." But in fact there is ample evidence to the contrary. Two recent national surveys all show partisan interest is approximately equal. Gallup's latest analysis suggests Republicans and Democrats are now roughly even in terms of anticipated turnout in the midterm congressional elections. This poll shows that the GOP in fact now holds a slight lead in voter motivation, up from just a few months ago (70% R to 67% D). RT Strategies/Constituent Dynamics (conducted Oct. 8-10) released district-by-district polling showing Republicans have a slight edge in partisan intensity. GOP "voter motivation" is higher than Democratic motivation in 19 of 32 competitive House races, in some cases by as much as a full point on a 1 to 9 scale. Despite the media hype, an examination of all the facts makes it clear: the Republican base is active and engaged.
