I consider myself a moderate and rarely vote for a politician based on what party they are with. I enjoy being an informed voter and I base my decisions entirely on platforms and personality. That being said, I listen to both Liberal and Conservative talk radio. I was just wondering if anyone else is tired of these hosts being "yes" men for their perspective parties. I think the worst may be Rush Limbaugh. Last week he was talking about how those underage pages thought this was a big joke and he described Foley as a poor victim. Who agrees or disagrees that these hosts are mostly Hippocrates that will follow party lines no matter what?

First, off I'm a registered republican now and have been a registered democrat in the past. I tend to vote slightly in favor for republicans, however I do not believe in voting entirely for a single party.
Seconds, to those that say that Rush Limbaugh never made reference to Mark Foley being a victim, I will try and refresh your memories. On approximately Oct. 9th or 10th Rush Limbaugh stated something to close to this,” The pages were e-mailing each other and having a good laugh at this poor mans expense".

Both are partisans who only pander to their political party and have lost touch with their listeners.

There is a radio host in south Florida who makes Rush sound like a liberal. This guys co host went so far as to call the widow and daughter of Martin Luther King "whores for the democratic party". Unbelievable.
I do like listening to talk radio. The two programs I listen to most often are Ed Schultz and Jerry Doyle. Both are fairly moderate, which is I think where most Americans are, with Schultz leaning to the left and Doyle to the right. What I like about them is they present a point of view in a well thought manor at the same time making an effort to present the opposing view. There's not the one sided shrill finger pointing that you get with a Hannity or a Rhodes.
The biggest hypocrites are people like O'Reilly who claims to be a moderate but is really hard right.

I think you may have misinterpreted something here. If Rush said that, it does not mean he's following party lines. In fact, that's not party lines!!!! The Republican Party does NOT think this is a big joke, and neither do we Republicans. This is ********. Whoever broke the law regarding pedophilia should be prosecuted to the max, period. And 2 quick points. 1. Today, I reported a pedophile on this site...yeah today...I also posted a question about pedophilia abuse on Yahoo....soooo clearly you know my STAND on that issue.... 2. I don't think we know exactly ...who knew WHAT..and WHEN they knew it.... But we're gonna find out. And be careful for now, you may not like the results of the investigation...or haven't you heard yet.??

Foley is like a Kennedy he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as Ted Kennedy should have when he killed Mary Jo Koppeckne at the bridge incident which we would have been prosecuted for if we had reacted in his manner also Kennedy hit the barriers at 2 o'clock in the morning we would have been charged for drunk driving are hard telling what else but that was smoothed over but in awns er to you ? Foley sure is not the victim

If Foley was a Democrat. He would still be in DC and be given a party for being so brave and wishing to be with his lover. (who by the way in DC IS of age.) They have done this in the past.
This was the point Rush was making. You need to listen to what some one is stating.

I listen to the sick twisted freak as often as I can. He definitely is an entertainer, and as he so often calls himself a rodeo clown. He, like most news hosts, tries to show the worst case scenario because he knows that that is what sells. But it is interesting to listen to, just like reading a thriller novel is interesting. While hopefully most of what he says won't happen, I am a little more prepared all the time because I know things that could happen, even if they most likely won't. He is a very libertarian, conservative, religious person. That line of thinking is not for everyone, but it does give a different point of view, that hopefully can get us all thinking and communicating better.

an informed voter would never claim to be a moderate. yuor posistions indicate liberalism. liberals always claim to be moderates or reformed conservatives. either way they and you are liars.
Foleys emails were not anything special or to get worked up over. the IMs were dirty and explicit but they were to a 18 yr old who has admitted he set up Foley as a prank and is now under FBI investigation. Foley may be gay but he is not a pedophile and has not been charged with anything.
The Democrats held on to the emails and IMs for over a year and released them to create a scandal specificly to disreupt the election.
Isnt it great thet the dems have come to agree with Republicans that sexpredators have no place in government?

You are confused, somehow.
Rush NEVER described Foley as a victim.
His question was how long the Democrats were involved with the Foley thing?
You should just listen to Liberals. They are easier to understand. You don't have to use your mind.

Best to think of Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc., as entertainers rather than news people. Their job is to pander to the pre-held ignorant positions of their listeners. (Limbaugh almost never appears except in front of supporters; the few times he's had to speak to a neutral crowd, they've diced him up.) Conservative talk radio is for people too ashamed to watch wrestling. Let it go. See you at the polls Nov. 7 and we'll give Limbaugh something for his drug-addled fat @ss to whine about, huh.

If you are fed up listening to partisan talk radio, tune in to NPR for thoughtful and factual commentary, then make up your own mind about issues. The partisans primarily serve the egos of those who don't think for themselves.
