If troops are going to be spread as far and as thin as the Brit.Army is then they need to be properly equipped.I have heard stories from Cdn. soldiers saying how they thought they were ill-equipped until they met some of the Brits.Poor rations, lousy basic equipment. If they are going to be continued to be sent to the 'hot spots' then at least give them a fighting chance and kit them out properly.

Writing to a congressmen should be just one of many grassroots techniques to compel those in Congress to unanimously assent to the immediate withdrawal of our troops. It’s only when they depart from Iraq that their bloodshed will stop. Fundamentally we have to make it known to our congressmen that any Senator or Representative that seeks to sustain our fruitless endeavors in Iraq any longer will not return for a second term.

Well, if you've ever seen a war anywhere that didn't
include casualities, let us know about it. Don't forget
that before we sent troops to the mideast, the U.S.
had 3,000 good decent non-fighting citizens that got
killed right here in America. So people can die just
because there are evil people on this earth.

Well being a soldier myself, we swore an oath and pledged ourselves to die if need be for our country. Some of the reasons we are fighting for aren't right but still we did take that oath. Its different out there, we fight for another reason, we fight for the guy next to us, its a brotherhood and we depend on each other. No one could ever understand it unless they too went through it. I've already been to Iraq twice and I would go again, why??? To be there for my friends. We do need to get out of Iraq, but we already damaged that country and we need to stay till the end so they can strive and grow to become a self sustained country of there own

I say, They enlisted. Sadly, some people I know enlisted without thinking of the consequences. Some solders really want to serve their country but others just do it for the career or education. It's really sad that so many people have to die but it's not like they were drafted.
