Today, in northern California, a well known politician was appearing at two fund-raisers for local politicos. When he showed up at the first rally there was a crowd with signs cheering. He went inside, and these people were loaded onto buses and taken to the second rally, where they did the same. The politician went inside, and the crowd got back on the buses and weny back to the airport to cheer a third time, and get paid. This how it's done today?

I have finally decided how I'd like to help society, and I'd like to be part of the VPD. I plan to apply next September. I'll be 20 by then and have my class 5 license, and I am currently looking for volunteer work in policing. I will also have one year of post-secondary credit by then. I'd like to know if you have any pointers for me to be successfully recruited, or any tips on how to stand out. Thanks in advance.

It was on Yahoo Chat that the young heroes turned in the child rapist Mark Foley. They should get a prize or something from Yahoo. Looking out for the community is very important.
If it was not for those brave Yahoo Members the Republicans would of moved him to another State to be Congressman like the Catholic Church used to do.

Fact: Foley had inappropriate contact with a minor.
Fact: The minor in question was male.
Fact: The Republican party does not as a whole support Gay Rights
Fact: The problem with the situation is not that Foley is potentially Gay, but rather that he is potentially a pedophile.
Fact: Instead of simply renouncing the actions of this man, the Republicans on this site are striving to twist this into an attack against liberals as a defense mechanism.
Isn't all of that kind of sad?

1. Why did he just not run to Rehab as an Alcoholic?
2. Why is he speaking through an Attorney, who doesn't normally do press conferences and hasn't in 15 years?

I really feel badly for the kid, but I think his mother is only making it worse for him sending the kid off with strangers on an effort where he is pretty sure to fail.

In any event, she is NOT a good poster child for the issue, having already been deported once, and having been convicted of social security fraud before running from a valid court order.

I wish they would get on with it though.

I was the benificiary to my dad's estate. The inheritance from my grandmother paid for her funeral services and her head stone but there is approximately $5000.00 left over. My aunt feels that since my dad died she deserves the leftover monies.

Major corporations are bailing out of their retirements and piling them on the PBGC (Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation). Example: United Airrlines mechanics retired and the Company went into Bankruptcy and dumped the retirement. Mechanics retirements were cut up to 750.00 per month. How will Republicans defend the average working American from such abuses which are now becoming more vogue kin the corporate mindset.

There is a movement to amend the 14th amendment. That's the one which allows babies born in the US, from non citizens, to have immediate full citizenship.

"Section I. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or munities

Campus police are called for an odor of marijuana in/around a college dorm(gee, imagine that). They arrive and are able to smell it in the hall. They find the room from which it is coming. They knock and are allowed in. The room wreaks of weed. It's not certain if they are given permission to search the room (I wasn't there so I don't know). They find a little bit of pot and two pipes. The pipes have resin (just pot, no crack). One resident takes ownership of the pot & one pipe, the other just one pipe. They're both charged for the pipes, and one for the pot.

Was there probable cause to search the room even if permission was not granted (but I assume it was) and no search warrant was obtained? Keep in mind these are campus police in a college dorm, if that even matters.
