You'd have to be crazy to think that gay people are being taken out of polotics (sic) and gorvernment (sic). There are lots of gay people who hold office. Three current members of the House of Reps are openly gay (I leave out Foley because he's just resigned). There are many more holding office in state and local governments. Nobody has a law saying that gays can't run for office. So you really must be crazy. That's what you call yourself.

Because this country is run by a bunch of old men reading the bible and too pussified to stand up to their younger, more intelligent counterparts... It's not just about gay people, it's about abortion, euthanasia, death penalty, guns laws, taxes and just about anything to raise some kind of controversy. People today have different views on everything because we are so much more diverse and well some are more knowledgeable. I guess they feel they are doing what's right for the integrity of the nation but is this really what's right?

There is a movement in this country to turn the USA into a theocracy(where God rules EVERYTHING!)...if you need proof, go to Topeka(Kansas) or Colorado Springs(Colorado), where one man rules w/ an "iron Bible"(meaning Rev. Fred Phelps in Topeka, and Rev. Dr. James Dobson and his so-called "God Squadrons" out of Colorado Springs)...sounds like Saudi Arabia, doesn't it???...what's worse, the Republican Party is behind all of this nonsense!...
This "theocracy-in-the-making" means that people like actress-turned California-Assemblywoman Sheila James Kuehl, comedienne Ellen DeGeneres, and country singers Melissa Etheridge and Katherine Dawn(k.d.) Lang and tennis legend Billie Jean King will be treated like...well, you fill in the blank, and it will be legalized by the U.S. Supreme Court...
The Democratic party needs to get the "God Squads" out of the country, and FAST!!!...we don't need God(or the populations of Topeka AND Colorado Springs) to tell us Americans what TV shows we can watch, what songs we can listen to, what news will be allowed on the air or in your newspaper...
Get my drift?...I hope so...
HTH...
How DARE you give me a thumbs-down!!!...My answer is appropriate coming from a REAL Republican than some Theocratic jerk-in-training from Topeka or Colorado Springs!...
That reminds me, yesterday on the news, there's an Atlanta woman who wants EVERY book published in the U.S. BANNED, and replaced w/ ONLY HER Bible(Southern Baptist version)!...you want CRAZY?:there's a PERFECT example!!!

Because they don't relate to the majority of society, which is what they are there to represent. I personally don't want my children to be exposed to something I deem as morally reprehensible, much like the liberal atheists don't like to hear the name Jesus...seems hypocritical to me for them to rub their indecencies in our faces but refuse us the right to even say a prayer in school....
