I think it is horrible that people do not like their jobs

I love my job as a college instructor. However I hate my students sometimes as most of them really don't care. Some are there because their parents made them go, some are there because their parents paid a lot of money to give them a good education but they don't study. Some even cheat! Some are there to find a husband/wife. I call the women the MRS. Degree seekers. It really is a shame to see sooo many young students not caring about their education. No wonder America is falling behind. However for those FEW students (most of them Asian) that do care, I really enjoy teaching for them! I love it when a students asks a question and love it even more when a student corrects a mistake of mine! That tells me they are really paying attention! So, yes I do LOVE my job when the students care! I hate my job when the students do not care!

I love my job.
Now, the follow up is "why?"
The fact is that everyone who does anything, be it a dog catcher or trash hauler or a neurosurgeon gets paid for solving someone else's problem.
The trick to loving your job is to find a problem that you actually like solving, and do it enough times to do it well enough that people will pay you to fix it.
Being self employed helps, too.

I absolutely adore it - I am retired.......When I was working, I hated my job for the last two or three years because we were going through a down sizing and those with the most seniority were treated like s-h-i-t after we worked our rears off for many many years. I could write a book on how bad I, along with others were so badly treated.

i don't like my current job but i just graduated from college and i hope i love my career but who knows.
Question for you why do you think everyone should love their job. For most people it is just a way to feed themselves

I enjoy the job I have. I don't dread going in but I would never say "love" it. That term is so thrown around today it makes me sick.

Its on thing for a transitory job to not like it......but if people don't like their career fields that is just bs that they don't like it.....why waste so much of your life doing something you don't like?
So yeah, I love my job.

I love my job! (I'm working right now...LOL)
I'm a paramedic on a 24 hour shift, waiting for emergency calls to come in. 10 more hours to go...
