I really feel badly for the kid, but I think his mother is only making it worse for him sending the kid off with strangers on an effort where he is pretty sure to fail.

In any event, she is NOT a good poster child for the issue, having already been deported once, and having been convicted of social security fraud before running from a valid court order.

I wish they would get on with it though.

What do you think?

Proud, you can google her, I am reporting what the Chicago Tribune said about her, if that helps you to find it. I don't really care if you believe me, though. A number of people who have followed this story are aware of the facts.

Proud - here. This describes it somewhat.

It seems that maybe all legal Americans are getting tired of her and her antics.Shes a joke, and only using her anchor child for her own illegal ends. She should be charged with child abuse for what she has done to this boy.She will in the end be deported, she shouldn't have tried her little act with an election coming up and with the
American people so against anything illegal.

You might find this interesting too.I sure did..
..
The results of a Time magazine poll say Americans support building a security fence along the entire 2,000 mile U.S./ Mexican border by a landslide, a new Time magazine poll has found.

56 percent of respondents said they want the wall built from sea to shining sea - not just the 700 miles stipulated in the House plan.

In more evidence that the American people want a tougher crackdown on illegal immigration than anything favored by Congress or the media,
62 percent told Time that they favored using the military to guard the border..
51 percent, said the U.S. would be "better of" if all illegals were deported and the border sealed to prevent any more from coming in.

A full 75 percent say illegals should be denied government supplied health care and food stamps.
A majority, 69 percent, say illegals shouldn't be allowed to get U.S. drivers licenses.

Its pretty evident from their facts and figures that most Americans want action on the issue of illegals in this country.

I think that this lady Elvira, illegal alien and a criminal to our courts, should go voluntary back to her country and take her child with her. What she is doing is wrong for her the kid and her nationality. When a person is not wanted, any where, the person should have "dignity to herself and her kind and leave, I think she have lost her dignity.. A person with out dignity is no good to herself,to her country and to her child. What principals are she defending, when all she's doing is defying our government and the laws of the USA. I see all those politicians and they look like vultures trying to get in camera, for what for a vote, well, I don't think so because what they are doing is using her for their purposes, specially this guy call Gutierrez, from Chicago. The people around her have to be honest with her and tell her what's best for her and her child and stop playing politics because all they doing is given her false hope. Right now the best for her and the kid is to leave and go back to Mexico. Is Mexico that bad that their nationals don't want to go back.?

It would seem to me that she has already proven that she is not one of those hard working people just trying to make a better life for herself that we all keep hearing about. Why we even care what she has to say about anything is simply beyond me,there has to come a point where we just call it like we see it and deal with people who break our laws at will regardless of whether it's the politically correct thing to do or not. We are entirely too wrapped up in the rights of the wrong doer in this situation and not nearly wrapped up enough in what is right.

I think the mother is a real piece of work, exploiting and using her kid for her own gain. She should be booted and take her little anchor boy with her.

A letter straight to the President? Hello- ever hear of going through channels? Or would that not get enough attention for her?

How do I know you are telling the truth, "In any event, she is NOT a good poster child for the issue, having already been deported once, and having been convicted of social security fraud before running from a valid court order," everything else I have read that you claim has been untrue so far.

It's funny how you criticize a 7-year old, did he refuse your advances? I bet you guys were praising Terry Schiavos mom for trying to go straight to the president.

WASHINGTON -- The young son of a woman who has taken refuge in a Chicago church delivered a letter to the White House on Tuesday, hoping to enlist President George W. Bush's help in keeping his mother from being deported to Mexico.

The handwritten letter, which 7-year-old Saul Arellano gave to a White House staffer outside the gates, requested a meeting with Bush to discuss allowing Elvira Arellano to stay in the United States, said Robert Lopez, spokesman for Chicago immigration-rights group Centro Sin Fronteras.
Read Saul Arellano's Letter
"He was serious about getting this done and making sure he delivered this letter for his mother," Lopez said.

Saul Arellano, who is an American citizen, appeared with U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez at a meeting of the Hispanic Congressional Caucus Institute earlier Tuesday, then went to the White House with the Chicago Democrat and members of Centro Sin Fronteras.

The boy traveled to Washington with Emma Lozano, executive director of the group, and was scheduled to return Wednesday, Lopez said.

On Aug. 15, Elvira Arellano was supposed to surrender to federal authorities for deportation. Instead, she sought refuge at the Adalberto United Methodist Church in a heavily Latino neighborhood.

On Friday, a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by the pastor of the church on Saul's behalf, which contended the boy's rights would be violated if his mother was deported.

I see no mention in here about fraud ar previous deportations.

Now who's stupid hexador04, that's the problem with you idiots you don't research anything. I did read the article, obviously you didn't, STUPID!

If Bush met with this boy he would have to meet with every one else who wanted to stay. She came in the back door now she is getting it in the butt. She does not care for her child. Neither does the minister & congressmen. He is just a pawn to show the press & use for their cause. If itwas up to me I would get a court order& take her from that church. I can not find in my bible where it says we can use the church to harbor criminals. She is a lawbreaker & she deserves no pitty from us law abidding legal citizens..
