How did we get such a relatively benevolent and freedom-loving upper class in the days of the Revolution?
What kind of rich person nowadays, or before around that time, or elsewhere, would write something like the Declaration of Independence?
Even if it was in their best interest to quit paying taxes to England, where did the Constitution and limited government come from?

WHAT KIND OF ARISTOCRAT IN HIS RIGHT MIND WOULD EVER SUPPORT SOMETHING LIKE THE FIRST AND SECOND AMENDMENTS?

Am I missing some incentive here, or was the U.S. Revolution and Constitution just a rare, brief and shining moment in the history of humanity?

If the voter guides are based on church teachings about war, poverty, and social justice -- is it okay? How about if the focus is anti-abortion? Isn't the separation of church and state getting a little too fuzzy? Maybe churches should not have tax-free status and then than would be free to act politically.

I heard that a Federal Law passed to postpone the end of daylight savings for a week, from Sunday, October 29th making it now to end on Sunday, November 5th. My question is, "Did I hear about the change correctly?"
Providing the HR bill would be a plus!!

I ask a lot of unethical questions, the answers i get in return too, are unethical. I am told that i am unethical and unmoral, and that i need to find god. But to my surprise, within the answer that was meant to point out what a horable person i am, I am told to go die, or swallow a knife, eat some rat poison etc... So these people that are so quick to tell me how wrong i am, and how i need to be compasionate, are also the ones that lash back with even less decent words.

If prisoners were given the option of serving their full sentence or serving a half sentence as slaves, would you own a slave. Say for example the government got tired of housing all the criminals, so they came up with a slave program. Imagine also that slaves would be implented with a special microchip that would prevent them from leaving your property by delivering an electric shock to them if they approached the boundary and you would also have a device that shocked them the same way if they rebelled. So you could be assured of complete control over them. How many of you would purchase a slave?
