If the voter guides are based on church teachings about war, poverty, and social justice -- is it okay? How about if the focus is anti-abortion? Isn't the separation of church and state getting a little too fuzzy? Maybe churches should not have tax-free status and then than would be free to act politically.

First of course there is no seperation of Church and State, this is merley a sad political move to stop Christains from having any political rights. Read your real constitution.

Next if they merely show honestly which canidates support which views, that is merley informing. And honestly churches need to inform people.

Issues like abortion, killing of handicaped, the war and the such are all issues that all people are concerned about, Christians, or jews or Muslims all have thier religioius view point and should inform thier members which canidates support thier view points.

What are the people running for office afraid of, letting people know the truth about thier views and beleifs.

The Republican and Democratic Parties are also non-profit organizations that enjoy tax-free status.

Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good is a political action non-profit organization and not a church.

It is similar to the Moral Majority Coalition: http://www.moralmajority.us/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

Should all churches that have members in the Moral Majority also lose their tax exempt status?

With love in Christ.

Yes. It's okay.

Talk of taxing churches is very unpopular politically in a nation where roughly 80% of the population adhere to some religious affiliation...

That is fine with me.Someone can hand you all of the literature they want to,they doesn't mean you have to read or adhere to it.Beside that,i would rather vote in line with a religious organization than the A.C.L.U or NAMBLA.
