Good luck getting any serious answers. Those are all very good questions. If you get any answers from real conservatives, I bet they'll be of the "well I'd still rather have him than Gore or Kerry" b.s. answer.
Here, I'll pretend to answer on behalf of my conservative father:
1. He's strengthened the economy by giving tax cuts to the rich. If we don't give them a reason to keep their business's located in the US, they'll leave.
2. War is good for the economy. Saddam was an a hole who deserved what he got, the Iraqi people will be better off in the long run, look at Germany.
3. We're now in a situation where people realize the threat, and the government is taking a proactive stance on terrorism, not like that coward Clinton who didn't do a damn in his 8 years.
4. There doesn't need to be a connection. They're all the same.
5. Because now we have a foothold in the Middle east, a much more politicogeographically important part of the world than north Korea or Africa.

I believe thats what he would have said.

1) Good - the economy is booming. We haven't been attacked since 9/11. 50 million people have been liberated in a hot and unstable part of the world. The terrorists recognize the importance of Iraq becoming a democracy and have gone all out to stop that (ie recruting). Thus, the fighting is there, not here.

I'm confident I have. I just haven't — you just put me under the spot here, and maybe I'm not as quick on my feet as I should be in coming up with one." —President George W. Bush, after being asked to name the biggest mistake he had made, Washington, D.C., April 3, 2004

I know..

Are you too stupid to understand that it is how the Republicans fill their bank accounts. They do it in many other ways like buy up a lot of oil stocks and then force the prices to go up. Sell let them and force it to go back down like they are doing right now and then buy back in and bring it back up again. When you have the power and control over the whole country like the Rep's do at the minute they can do about anything they want.

It is called greed ..

I do think we should just let them kill each other out. It is none of our business. If we are worried about some other country I say lets go in there and bust them back to the stone age and let them rebuild on their own. We just load up and go home. Who cares what happens to them.... I DON'T!!... They hit us and don't help us so lets hit them and not help them. The world knows If a country wants to rebuild and not pay for it just pick a fight and the whole world or the USA will send in people and do it for them and pay for it as well.

Fair play for both sides. If you start the fight and you end up with your @ss whooped then too bad.

And really why did we go to war in Iraq? Had to be for greed..Nothing else can explain it.

hello mr liberal, do you think that saddam, was just minding his own business, and being a nice ruler....not hardly, if you liberals, had half of a brain, you would know that it was so important to de- throne him, and what about the ten`s of thousands of people that he has killed, thank heavens that god made us the superpower, that could pull down tyrants, and what has happened to lybia, well the honorable mr. quadiffi, tossed in his nuke technowlogy, in a flash...there is a bible verse that says "the wickid fleeth when no man prusueth, but the righteous is bold as a lion".........mr. Bush saw saddams intentions, and moved to destroy them, and yes it is in the vital interest of the usa, to keep oil flowing, there is no mystry to that ......our freedom, and the free worlds freedom depends on the free flow of oil....and since you must be from france, you cannot understand that pacifism, never works.....when gen. Pershins, was attacked by islamic terrorists, before ww1, using allah to cover their mischief, Gen Persions, captured 50 of them, and had them watch while his soldiers killed 2 hogs, and the soldiers dipped their bullets in pig blood, and shot 49 of the thugs, and bulldozed a big hole in the earth, and threw all the bodies in it and pored pig blood and guts on them and dozed them over, and allowed #50 to go free, and there was not another islamic terrorist attack from anywhere in the world for 45 years.......we need 1,000 more of gen. pershing`s, in the middle east. now.....what good has prez. bush done to help america...well he has nearly totally destroyed the al-kaida terror network, and if it wasn`t for dimwitted liberals, whining about how he has responded to this threat, we could end this reign of terror, but mr bush is doing all he can to accomplish this task...in spite of the puny minds of liberals......no offence to you personally, but grow up man and smell the odors of exploded c-4 explosives.... and the stench of rotting children, that has been blown to pieces, by these insane nuts...and open your mind to what the world is facing, if we do things the way france does it......belton44

1) Killed Terrorist, helped other Countries gain Democracy, and took out a potentially mad dictator that was a threat.
2) Took out terrorist and extremist (Made America Safer), and Iraq is hell now, but future generations will live w/ security and democracy..Not eing scared of your leader unleashing gas into your town.
3) Its killed alot of them, and weve gained intelligence of other terrorist groups
4) Saddam didnt have anything to do w/ 9/11, he was a threat to his own people and our people so we took him down..It prevented future attacks and future wars.
5) FYI, We havent gotten one drop of free oil from Iraq..Becuase their was reason to beleive that he had WMD and these other countries arent producing terrorist to hurt OUR country

Are you suggesting the alternative would be better? To do absolutely nothing at all for anybody or anything? To just sit behind your desk with your pants down?

If you gotta ask then there is no point explaining. This line of questioning is getting so old.
