Bob Woodward is set to appear on 60 minutes, pushing his new one called State of Denial, and he offers this as something GB has said to some Republicans recently.
He also points to how the Bushies are consulting recently a lot with Kissinger (great! a fellow spirit!) who wholeheartedly believes the only 'exit strategy' in Iraq is victory, and whom Woodward points out is still fighting the Vietnam war apparently.

Do people believe GB said this?

Isn't this a dangerous and ridiculous position, indicating GB's scary lack of connection with reality, with the rest of our government, with the citizenry, and with the important task of *really* fighting the war on terror?

Does it scare you that your president would say something like that?
Oh, and Barney is their dog, though my thoughts immediately went to the big purple dinosaur....

This is against US law and international law. Where's the outrage? Executive Order 11905 says: "no employee of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, political assassination." Could Clinton be prosecuted for conspiracy?

With the way most people are fed up with politicians and their empty promises, you have to wonder if the day will come when this might happen. At the very least, the turnouts could dwindle to the point where much concern would be raised.

Let's see if Repubicans can answer this question without bringing up Clinton. I suspect their position on this is so weak that they will not be able to resist it.

Bush himself refused to answer the question this week.

How should be criminals re-integrated into society as normal people? Appearantly prisons have difficulties with that. On the contrary, the environment may make the imprisoned only more deviant. What do you think should be done?

Execution or putting them on a remote island are not options, of course.

Why not include also, all local unnecessary deaths like, suicides, auto accidents, drug overdose deaths, murders and homicides, AIDS related deaths throughout the USA?At least the soldiers, when they die they fight with honor to defend our democracy and other peoples'.
So why not report also these many necessary deaths that happen locally, and compare. This way politicians and the press as well as the populace would open up their eyes and minds to see the truth.
