Why not include also, all local unnecessary deaths like, suicides, auto accidents, drug overdose deaths, murders and homicides, AIDS related deaths throughout the USA?At least the soldiers, when they die they fight with honor to defend our democracy and other peoples'.
So why not report also these many necessary deaths that happen locally, and compare. This way politicians and the press as well as the populace would open up their eyes and minds to see the truth.

Why not also report the unnecessary deaths that occur everyday such as suicides, drug overuse deaths, auto accidents, homicides and murders, and, AIDS.
A lot of these people die without honor. A lot of these deaths are for reckless and selfish reasons and abusive self indulgences.
Our enemies, for all you know will kill us all for free if they are handed out guns and bombs out of thOur soldiers are professionals. They are trained, they are given salaries and benefits as well as equipped with the latest technologies.
Our soldiers are not boy or girl scouts just for drills, for parades and for picnics in the park. Soldiers are warriors for a noble reason, such as protecting our freedoms.
Would you like to live under the Taliban or Al Qaeda rule or the North Korean or Cuban system of goverrnment. Freedom is priceless that it must be defended, taught and shared for its moral and intrinsic values.

That's because the 35,000 people killed, each year, on our highways ARE NOT NEARLY AS DEAD as the soldiers fighting a war.

So the media , especially those who are against the war, makes it sound like it's wrong to be killed in battle while it's OK to die from an auto accident.

Instead of reporting what happened, the media is always trying to tell you something about how they feel about things.

1) There isn't a liberal media. This is a myth.
2) Just because you are soldier, it doesn't automatically mean you have honor. Soldiers can rape and steal and do horrible things just like the general public can.
3) The soldiers who are dying in Iraq are not defending democracy.
4) The deaths that you have listed have nothing to do with war. Why would reporter of any stripe mention them unless there was a bias? The job of a reporter is write about the facts - to be objective.

Like you said, the soldiers lives are lost for completely different reasons. The media is honoring their lives and deaths by not forgetting them. I'm glad the US is forced to see the lives behind it, so they are reminded everyday that this is a war that costs many precious lives. Why shouldn't they be reported? It's a hard fact, and the reason most of us are against this pointless unending war.

The Bush administration only releases a small amount of information on soldiers' deaths. They don't want the public to know the truth.

I obviously do not understand the pea-brain thinking of neocons and so-called conservative Republicans. Why are these other deaths "necessary?"

Also, NO major network has covered that these "suicide bombers" are turning out to be people who were kidnapped, had their cars filled with explosives, strapped into the cars and then made to drive a certain route. When they reached the point wanted, a trailing car remotely detonates the explosives. These are NOT people who want to be heros, they are victims themselves. That would not go with the major networks because then they would not be able to claim it is being done by the general population which wants the US out. Hmmmm? Just who are the networks backing anyway???/

and you in all likelihood won't considering the fact which you watch FOCKS information. The loss of life of our American troops and harmless Iraqi electorate became into Bush's fault as you reported, and he had the nerve to declare "ooops, there have been no weapons OF MASS DESTRUCTION." It seems such as you omit listening to approximately our infantrymen loss of life. So unhappy.

Because to them the war in Iraq is th eonly thing that matters right now in trying to convince people that congress should impeach Bush. Unfortunately they also highlight a soldire wqho does something bad, such as rpae, or murder of civilians, but the tend to ignore the militants that are torturing and murdering our soldiers as well.

Ogrish.com, you can find tons of images and video of our soldiers being shot, tortured dragged behind trucks and burned.

Our media should show both sides of the story here.

Why do you call the media liberal? Who runs what in the media, AOL Time Warner owns CNN, Murdock owns Fox, Disney owns ABC news, GE owns NBC news Viacom owns CBS, these are not “liberal” organizations. Because of the above, you will only get the news that either comes out of “leaks” or the Whitehouse, those are your options today. If you have complaints about the lack of news, send your complaints to the Whitehouse, they are in charge of it all. We can’t even trust the “congressional record”, the neocons are in charge of it’s printing.
