A french editorialist is in hiding after writing a scathing editorial regarding Islam. His newspaper Le Figaro apologizes to the Muslim community like the Pope. How long should we apologize for our own culture to keep the peace? How far should one go to protect free speech?

I was thinking about relief agencies. There was a time when I was able to afford to give more than I do now. Personally, I have to keep my ship afloat and I am forced to put my donations on hold. Perhaps in a few years I can redeem myself. If what has happened to me has happened to a good percentage of our middle class one would only think that it would have an impact on our image globally.

It's safer than aspirin and has many more medical uses. In 1988 the DEA's cheif administrative law judge called it the safest therapotically active substance known to man. Cannabis should be legal for adults to use in the privacy of one's home. It is prohibition that causes harm to society not the substance.

Dems are always saying we are spending too much on the Iraq and Afgan war. But boy are the wrong. We have only spent 70m out of a 480m defense budget on this war. And did you hear about Bush finally going back at the Dems. AMAZING!!! I wish Bush would have gone after them when Dems first started the criticizm.

charge people a much higher tax bill simply because they make more money? After all, it is their money. What gives you the right to feel that you have the right to it? Are people like this so pathetic that since they are losers and cannot make anything of themselves that they have to tear down successful people?

In case people do not know, if you have a job in the private sector it is because someone risked a lot of money and time to build a business. Their business is their property. It belongs to them, not the government.

I am so sick of communists in this country.

He was the one that let the Allatollah take over the Sha of Iran. And ever since, Iran has been an big enemy of the United States.
Dou you think we woudlnt be in the problem that we are know if Carter would of put a strong hand and not let the Allatollah overturn the Iranian Govt. by extremists? I mean, he had the perfect reason why to defend the Sha after these extremists kidnapped American Soldiers.
Carter was the laugh of the Middle East at the time when all the POW were kidnapped in Iran in 1979 and he didnt do anything about it for months and months until President Regan took office and resolved the problem.

Bill Clinton’s 60th birthday party is just around the corner, but this won’t be a cheap ticket.

Invitation “packages” start at $60,000, all of which are designated for the former President's own non-profit organization.

The price tag for celebrating 60 years of Bill goes up from there, with the “Birthday Chair Package” running a cool $500,000.

Guests won’t be disappointed, though, with a full weekend of activities on the itinerary, including a golf tournament at the exclusive Bayonne Golf Club in New Jersey, dinner at the American Museum of Natural History (on loan for the occasion), and countless receptions, teas and the like.

For the finale, the Rolling Stones will give a concert for 2,100 or so guests at the historic Beacon Theater on upper Broadway. Even we have to give the Clintons credit for this one—the Stones are the perfect choice to cap off such an event. After all, not only are the Stones the very embodiment of self-absorption and debauchery that the Clintons so admire, but who else besides Mick and Keith could stand on stage next to Bill and Hillary and actually make them look good?

In 2000 they took a bunch of rural towns, like Bobcaygeon, formed a City Of Kawartha Lakes. In 2003 they held a referendum that allowed them to opt out if they wanted. The results were YES we wanted out. The Liberal gov't of the province promised to honour it, but didn't. We are 3000 sq. kilometers with 70,000 people and way more cows. Democracy died in Canada, should someone invade us?
