Liberals were taught in the 60s that to bathe, shave and use soap was "selling out" to "the man". In other words, they would be contributing to the consumer economy which was "bad". So they became smelly hippies and chose to live like the French in filth.

You'll have to explain this metaphor to me. If it's about 911, I believe that Bush had been president for eight months when that happened and had been warned but did nothing. I'm afraid you neocons are going to have to be accountable for your own stench.
