not for the war crimes he has committed,, he has covered his butt for that,, but also the CIA and any US troops involved in carrying out his orders to torture secret prisoners or other enemy combatants,, but this travesty of justice will not go unpunished for George W. Bush,, he not only ignored the military rules according to the Geneva convention,, he has attempted to alter American values and morals and he has trashed the founding of our country,, Republicans are certainly not the party of FDR,, their strategy is to win elections ahead of war,,, "these are the times that try mens souls" George Washington, Father of our Country

Well, I agree with most of what everyone has said - the votes simply aren't there. The most anyone could hope for if the Dems win the House is for Bush to be censured.

But the one thing people fail to consider when demanding Bush be impeached is that the person who would then become President...is Darth Cheney! You would first have to impeach Cheney and then impeach Bush to get a semi-decent result - Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi becoming President.

Not unless he committed an impeachable offense. Apparently the mantra of "Bush lied" isn't quite enough for an impeachment.

You have to convince the congress that he broke the law
plus impeached does not mean out of office just means attempted to be kicked out after breaking the law

well... has he done anything to be impeached?

if the dems get in congress... they may investigate this abramoff thing... and who knows where that could go...

I mean no one ever thought the Clinton thing would get anywhere either.. and if he hadn't lied about a bj, it really would've just been embarrassing, but not impeachable...

If you think there is valid legal reasons to impeach him please state them and I will gladly shoot down every one. Just because you don't agree with someones policies does not mean you can or have grounds to impeach them. If you are going to take the time to embarrass yourself by listing what you think are valid legal reasons, please also list why the reasons are valid and legal for impeachment. I don't care about your feelings, and won't waste my time properly aknowleding reasons based on your feelings as opposed to facts.

Democrats need to control congress 1st (but I don't think it will happen anyway, better for the Democratsto focus on the 2008 presidential election instead of impeachment proceedings)

We can't impeach him while he has both the senate and the house loaded with his allies. He will have congress stacked to his advantage as long as Diebold Voting Machines tally the votes in a way that can't be verified. Don't get me started on this. In the U.S. we have to refer to democracy in the past tense.

We can't impeach him because he has only broken the law, gotten us into a war that he admitted lied about to get us in, and lost over $300 trillion dollars (that's $300000000000000)! But nothing will happen until he does something really bad like cheat on his wife.

Since the republicans control the house and senate you wouldn't get the votes. We've impeached two presidents. Clinton and Andrew Johnson. Too bad they counldn't get Clinton kicked out.
