Why do we always go to war in the middle east shouldn't all of the problems over there be there problems if we leave them alone wouldn't they leave us alone. we have the technology to drive sun power cars but fight over oil.

I've been reading a lot of articles that say that we Dems are better off not gaining control of Congress so that we can win it all, House, Senate & Presidency in 2008. The pundints are saying that if we win, Bush will blame any problems on the Democratic Congress (the Democratic Congress would be his scapegoat and that would help Republican Candidates for 08).
What do you fellow Democrats think (and only Democrats answer this please). Here's a link to one article:

What's a nice gift I could get him? I was thinking about a Saint Michael's medal that he could wear on his dogtags, but I'm Catholic and he's not and he mightfeel as if I'm forcing my religion on him if I do that. What should I wear? I live in Georgia and lately I have been reading in the paper and hearing on the news about how we are faced with an extreme increase in the amount of immigrants residing here illegally in our state. Georgia has one of the highest concentrations of illegal immigrants in the country. The govenor, Sonny Perdue and his democratic opponent Mark Taylor, have made promises to fix the problem. Do you agree with either of them? What do you think needs to be done? Should we offer amnesty? Immediate deportation? Or should nothing be done at all?

On Wednesday California lawmakers launch an ongoing lawsuit against 6 of the biggest Auto makers in the united states, suing for damages due to emissions put off by vehicles. Who is to blame? Are car manufacturing companies responsibole for putting cars on the road and thereby polluting the environment, or is it the people of the great state of California who purchase and operate these vehicles who must be held accountable.
A case such as this would determine liability in so many situations. Why jail the person who robbed you at gunpoint when you could sue the gunsmith for a considerably higher monetary gain. Or, on the flip side of the coin, who belongs in jail the drug dealers or the children they seduce?
