Yes, I know he spoke at the UN which is sovreign soil, but EVEN IF was somehow airlifted to a helicopter pad on top of the building, he STILL came to the US when he entered US airspace, and in every liklihood, he landed in a plane and took a limo like a 'normal' diplomat.

First part: he came to speak to the U.N. not the US people in general. He wanted to voice his opinion of Bush, I agree with him somewhat; but he should have used common sense.

Second part: the Democratic leaders think he was wrong to speak out like that, they maybe agree with some of what he said, but feel he should show more respect for the US.

The current president Bush the bullier always talk about the other countries, like calling them evil empires. Now Jugo chavez of Venezuela called him a Devil. Bush has already taken the world to a third world war,and has violated the constitution of the United States. Bush decided to call other nations Evil. I don't think, Chavez calling Bush the Devil will make Bush the lesser evil. He lied to the nation, and lied to the whole world. lying is one of the main characteristics of a devil, and luckily Mr bush had this Characteristic.

He's just looking to make a name for himself. He's no dumber than Bush. Besides, Venezuela NEEDS the U.S. and it's Yankee Dollar in order to suvive. And he knows this.

As for the other leaders condemning Chavez it's just a Political Game everyone plays .. cuz let's face it, they condemn Bush ever since he's been President so what's the difference.

P.S. I'm Venezuelan and not a fan of EITHER so-called world leaders but if I had my pick I'd pick the one in the White House.

And he came to the U.N. NOT the U.S.

U.N. is neutral ground.

So, you are saying its OK for Bush to critisize other leaders in the UN, but not OK for them to do thesame thing to Bush. Sounds to me like its time for the UN building to be moved to another country, since it is supposed to belong to no country, like embassies belong to the country that inhabits them. Sounds like your Americans have something to hide, and very big egos. Kind of at parr with Khomenni and Bin Laden.

Besides, its about time you were told what the rest of the world thinks about you.

Chavez truly hates Bush. His strategy is to appeal to the American people, and to the world.

I think it is a great strategy for the Democrats. They appear to be protecting the US dignity, while chastising Hugo in public.

Chavez deserves to be criticized because he is a selfish ahole just like Bush.

The UN is based in New York, so NY is the perfect forum for Hugo to spout off.

the UN is in NY city, but technically, it's not part of the U.S.... it's like an embassy, any embassy is technically not part of the country it is in, but part of the country that holds the embassy...

and the UN is where you go to discuss world issues, which Bush's international diplomacy is a world issue...

but he did take it way to far calling him the devil... and the dems know that... name calling is pretty immature and we should all stick to the issues as much as we can... that's why most of the dems are upset...
