Why do we assume that setting up democratic governments are good for American interests? The Palestinians elected Hezbolah. Is Saudi Arabia was a democracy do you think they would elect an American friendly government? Here is a news flash, the Saudi royal family is the only standing in the way between the very anti-American majority there and Bin Laden taking over.

What happens if the Iraqi people elect a Sunni government, ask us to leave and then make an alliance with Iran. Then what? Do we conquer them again?

I asked why do people automatically assume all illegals are Latino, and someone told me I was pro-illegal and a hypocrite. How lovely.
I happen to be half Hispanic, so maybe it does piss me off just a little bit when people say that the only illegals in the country are Latino, or that all the Latinos in America are illegal (I have heard it said before) So pardon me if I get a little miffed by that. I am in no way "pro-illegal" but I try to see the story from both sides of the track.

My son was playing baseball, and the runner basically dropkicked him in the bicep with metal cleats, which caused over ten abrasions on his arm and made him get 8 stitches. Everyone, even the umpires, saw that it was malicious and noted it in their report. The other player was ejected and is suspended for a minimum of 1 game. The player was almost warned for another questionable play in the game. When the player kicked my son, my son's bicep was at least two and a half feet off the ground, and he was standing right on the base. The player and his father apologized for it, but I have been advised by some people to file assault charges, but I think it might be a bit extreme, unless the player has a history of this. What do you think about filing charges? Also, should I get a lawyer to look into the player's history? The incident wasn't on video, by the way. Like I said, it is probably a little extreme, but I want an unbiased opinion. Thanks.

I think the was of terrorism will go a lot like the war on drugs (which has been a dismal 30 year failure) but I also think it is another political issue that conservatives like to talk about but actually very little about.

Abortion
Gay Marriage
Flag Burning
War on Terrorist
Ending Corporate welfare
Homeland Security

These are all conservative hot button issues that if these were ever resolved, the republicans would have nothing left to run on.

Here is an example. When Ronald Reagan ran for president he campaigned hard on the abortion issue, but once in office never attempted to pass any law stopping or even restricting the procedure. He never really cared about it, but he knew it would get the religious right wingers out and it did.

Its one thing to have a difference of opinions. Good people disagree all the time but I dont understand why the so called "peace" lovers are trying to spread so much hate? Seriously, I had a friend that almost hung up on me just because I mentioned that I am a conservative. I have different ideas than her so- so what? I wasnt argumentative or hostile, just have a different view.....I wish we could all unite against our real enemy- the terrorists and stop fighting with each other.

Why do I have to apoligize for being born in America and for being white? I have been to a few immigration rallies for photography. i speak Spanish fluently and I would overhear all this racism towards me. All I was doing was taking pictures...they didn't even know I was anti-illegal. I know that these rallies don't represent any majority of any ethnic group... but these people in these marches are a complete pile of cr...p truth

"71% of the population want America to cut its financial contribution to the UN. A majority from every geographic, demographic, attitudinal and political subgroup wants to see reductions in American funding.

The rejection of the UN is bipartisan. Democrats expressed negative evaluations of the UN performance only slightly below the national average, while Republicans were slightly above."

it seems to me like we have made our country into a place that is so equal that it isn't equal anymore.

i am the average white 17 year old. i'm at a point in my life where i am applying for college scholarships, that is a major problem. My dad is a farmer and my mom works part-time at a junior high, so we don't struggle financially, but are by no means rich. by next year, they will have 3 kids in college so they won't be able to help all of us.

my problem is that i don't qualify for any scholarships. we don't have a scholarship for white people anywhere. i see them for mexicans, african americans, asians, latinos, indian, native american....anything but white people. that is not equal.

there are other things to. at our school we have a mexican culture club, indian culture club, asian culture club, african american culture club...so one day someone tried to create a caucasion culture club and got suspended. thats not equal.

i could go on but i'm out of space

Well, heres the proof. Its U.S code.

(a) Prohibited activities

(this sounds about right, but then theres this)

(1) Any peaceful purpose that is related to a medical, therapeutic, pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial, or research activity.

!!!!!!!(3) Any law enforcement purpose, including any purpose related to riot control.!!!!!!!!!

WASHINGTON President Bush plans to ask Congress to fund a system that verifies whether job applicants are legally eligible to work in the United States.

The Associated Press has learned Bush will seek more than 130 (m) million for the plan. He also wants 365 staff positions to operate the nationwide Employment Eligibility Verification system.

A government source told the AP of the plan on condition of anonymity because the president's budget has not been officially released.

Bush is scheduled to send his 2007 budget proposal to Congress on Monday.
