I am conservative but I have to raise the flag on the whole Iraq thing. Why are we still losing innocent Americans for politics? Would you be willing to lose your son/daughter to secure Bagdhad? ONLY CONSERVATIVES ANSWER!!!

Just mention taxes, and everyone gets their panties in a bunch.
"The Death Tax", property taxes, gas taxes, state taxes, sales tax, capitol gains tax, blah, blah, blah. We all think our tax burden is unacceptable, unreasonable, or having to support programs and gov't functions which threaten our faith, family, or moral code.
Why isn't there a way for federal taxes, which are deducted each paycheck, to be paid quarterly instead.
Every three months, we would write a check to pay what we must, BUT..one of those checks, (of our choosing) goes directly for whichever area of the gov't we decide is best.
Got kids? and a parent in poor health? give some to D O Ed and some to HHS or Medicare. Generations of your family served in the military? to the VA or military appropriations.Just one quarter of the taxes we pay. They would have to find a way to function with the money they end up with.
And if the residents of those 2 small Alaskan towns want a bridge, let them foot the bill.

I know people who receive perks at work (everything from event tickets to merchandise) the monetary values range from $10 to hundreds of dollars, and they turn around and sell the gifts for profit. Do you think this is unethical?

-president bush never lied about anything
>we did find WMDs in iraq last april
-some 500 containers of mustard gas
>Bush said that we had reason to believe WMDs were in iraq
-the CIA told him that
>Bush just did what he had to do to protect America
-Bush isn't the one keeping us in iraq
>we are there because we have work to do
>Gulf of Tonkin Resolution
-gives congress power to pull troops out after 90 days
>if they feel the war is unjust
>checks and balances
-president doesn't have power to do very much
-what you say bush did wrong was agreed by liberal congress
-There is NO conspiracy in our government
>its just ridiculous to think that
>again checks and balances
-it is impossible for there to be a conspiracy

just some "misunderstandings" liberals on this site tend to have about our government.

Well the only reasons I can think of is that emotional/verbal/mental abuse does not have hard evidence to prove that someone has been abused that way. In the USA it has the fairest(sometimes) justice system that only allows hard evidence.

Like in Iraq Middle East if you accuse someone of a crime they get shot in the head no questions asked.

Just wanted to know what your opinions are on this. Thanks

Trust me, there are plenty of illegals in this country, and not all of them crawled over the border. Some came on planes with fake student visas, and then just seemed to disappear into the system, undetected.

Did President Bush watch the First plane hit the WTC, live on a closed circuit telivision?

He says twice that he did. The American Airlines Flight 11 impact WAS NOT BROADCAST LIVE. NO ONE SAW IT LIVE EXCEPT FOR THOSE AT GROUND ZERO, and apparently the President.

1[CNN, Aired December 4, 2001]http://transcripts.cnn.com/transcripts/0...
"I was in Florida. And my chief of staff, Andy Card -- actually I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot." And I said, "It must have been a horrible accident."But I was whisked off there -- I didn't have much time to think about it, and I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief who was sitting over here walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower. America's under attack."

In real life, the US President is supposed to be the most powerful man in the country.

However, some movies suggested otherwise. They claimed there are other secret organisations (government or non government) that are more powerful than the US President in the country.

Do you think it can be true? Do you think there are really other secret organisations that are more powerful than the US President?

Really...Lets sit around like idiots with our heads up the Democrat's asses and let the enemy strike first just to keep everybody happy and not hurt anyone's feelings. Am I the only one who sees that Iraq WAS a threat to us that needed to be dealt with? Or would everyone be happier being blown up with nukes?

hint: There were weapons of mass destruction. What do you think the terrorists moved in the underground tunnel system? Weapons of mass destruction? Well gee, that kinda makes sense.

My husband came home from deployment on friday. He brought home a friend *on the first day*. The next day, he had duty, but he says "come on down, we'll spend the day together, I'll show the girls around the ship". After an hour and a half drive (bad traffic), half an hour searching for a parking spot, and half an hour of waiting for him to come to the gate to sign us in, he tells me "Well, you can't come on, the guys want to hang out in the shop and they've got gastro, but you can go run these errends, not for me but for the guys, then you can go home" (I am paraphrasing, of course). They left again today for a "family day cruise" which we couldn't go on because the girls aren't 8 yet. But I have to prepare a large meal because he's bringing a bunch of people over this evening.

I'm upset. Am I overreacting?

I don't agree with the statement that Bush is dumb... I mean he has a whole office that runs with him, he doesn't make all the decisions himself, and his party for the most part backs him up... So he represents at least a part of the American people
On a personal note, I believe he's just culturally challenged or maybe geography challenged.... So what he didn't know that Russia was a big country?
