The vast majority of those whinning have no real knowledge of why were are there why we are there or the good we have done. All they know is what they hear on Liberal Media newscast. They blame Bush when the War have a near 100% vote in favor of the War this included yes votes from John Kerry and Joe Liberman! Just for information here is what we have helped achieve that the media NEVER tells us!!

Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2005 for the re-established Fulbright program?
Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have 5- 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment.
Did you know that Iraq's Air Force consists of three operational squadrons, which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night, and will soon

OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW! and WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW? OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.
The lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes. It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to discourage American citizens.
Above facts are verifiable on the Department of Defense web site

If you like this war so much, why don't you enlist?
First of all, it is the duty of the citizen in a democracy to criticize the government when we feel it is doing something wrong. Read your constitution. It's 'WE THE PEOPLE', not 'they the executive'. And Iraq is extremelly wrong.
Saying you should invade a country because it *could* be a threat is just attacking a country, pure and simple. In the case of Iraq, the U.S. was the bad guy. Bush recently admited he had always known damn well there was no Saddam Hussein - al-Qaeda connexion. He also either knew, or should have known, the WMD reports he had were a crock. In that respect, he was either lying, or incompetent. My guess is he simply got somebody to make evidence up. In either case, his actions and those of his administration were criminal.
Iraq has nothing to do with the war and terror, and never has. It has to do with oil, political capital, and a personal vendetta of the Bush family against Saddam Hussein.
In fact, the war on terror is a Bush administration invention to get Americans to allow his government to break the law and twist the constitution in ways profitable to it and its friends. He doesn't give a damn about protecting American lives, or putting soldiers in harm's way. How anyone can believe a word coming out of Bush's mouth at this point is beyond me. Bush had LIED repeatedly in the past. He is a LIAR. He even admitted to have LIED and then deny what he had said were LIES. Most of the people in his administration are also LIARS. Their only purpose is to protect the interests of a clique of extremelly rich people.

There were no weapons of mass destruction. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Wars are bad, wrong and immoral, especially this war. We have the highest number of nukes in the world, and Iraq was not a threat to us. Of course, the terrorists which have been created due to our immor war may well eventually become (more of) a threat to us. We'll have idiot Dubya to thank for that. Colonization is always wrong.

2600 plus Americans are tired of the war. Many more then that wounded, 10's of thousands of Iraqi. (exact figure unknown but 50 or more a day) I am sure they are tired of the war. When we went to Afghanistan, Bush had a 80% + approval rating, most were behind him, even me. But when he sent the troops to attack a sovereign country based on a lie he lost all of that, lowered our standing in the world and made more enemy's then I can believe. If the Iraqi had weapons of Mass destruction do you not think that they would have hesitated to use them? No my friend you and everybody else in the country/world was told a pack of lies. Now his approval rating is in the low 30's% it hit a low of 29% I wonder what you do not understand about how wrong it is to be in Iraq in the first place and how counter productive to the war on terror it is to stay there.

Such a war will be a total disaster for the US and there will be no retreat or peace talks later. It will be utter devastation. There are many mutual protection treaties that bind nations to protect each other and those include alliances with known nuclear weaponry. But some actions such as incursion into North Korea would cause China to respond and then because of treaties with the Soviets, Russia would be sucked in, and thus India, and France, etc down the food chain...but the good news is that at any given moment there are enough nuclear submarines from Russia and China in international waters to completely destroy the US without needing to fire a single surface air to ground missile....would you like to tempt fate?

I suppose it all depends where you are sitting...if you were in Iraq or Afghanistan...you might have a different perspective...(or you could be gung ho and be enjoying the experience as some do).
There are many nations around the world with WMD's and yes they are often placed in the ground. This country has a ton of them as well.
Just because a nation has such weapons does not mean they will use them against you. The Soviet Union had a gazillion of them aimed at us (Russians still have them aimed at us) and we never invaded them. No Ronald Reagan found a diplomatic solution to the problem.
War is a bad business for a great many people. So expect more whining....

In my opinion, I think many Americans and others do not take what is happening in the world seriously...they paid attention on 9/11 but after that the heads up ...stopped and heads down ..head in the sand took over.......they don't think the terrorists are going to ever affect their lives...they will one day when it's too late....President Bush and the military keep telling the USA..and the world what they are up against....between our borders not being protected and the liberals not believing what is really going on.....I hope there will be a good outcome but it doesn't look that way....thanks for your question it is giving mean reason to really examine my thoughts about the situation....all I can do is vote for someone here in my state and hope they have some pull in Washington to keep our nation strong....and also to take time out to pray for the peace and safety of our country.

You've obviously been out of touch for a while.
Let me bring you up to date:
Even Bush admits that Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11 and no one has found any WMD in Iraq. There were no terrorists in Iraq until the US-led war created some, and those are actually intent on kicking out foreigners from their homeland, not attacking the US.
I'm afraid that you may be the only one who 'sees' that Iraq might have been a threat; everyone else knows better by now. The nukes are right here, in the US.

History repeats itself- World War I was supposed to be "the war to end all wars" -then of course there was World War II.
Don't you realize that it's more likely to happen again?
The way science is advancing- and religion taking a stand-
they will be the driving forces behind World War III.
What a grim war it will be.
Have you not been blind to the talk of "the end of the world"
and "Jesus' return to Earth"
Many believe the end is near; they are not far from the truth.
The legend of 2019 has already proven true.

What, because Cheney said so? Listen, dear, the government dow\esn't care about protecting our political freedoms. They only care about getting our form of government installed in the Oil fields so that they can make more money over it. Did you SEE the weapons of mass destruction? No, but you believe it because the government said so. You watch CNN and it's the political Gospel. So tell me why the Pentago, as of last year, is now immune to the freedom of information act? You have absolutely no clue what's going on, or why. Our men and women DIE because the government views them as pawns. If that were untrue, then why did 1800 have to die before they got better armor? Israel runs the world, and the government jumps everytime they stump a toe. Stop being a blind rat and do the research yourself. Why did the US say Iran had not offered to stop enrichment when they clearly did? I'm sorry to come down so hard, but America as a whole is clueless as to what is going on in DC.
