China's Population is more than india. In india all citizens do not hold identity cards. Moreover the government does not know how to identify its citizens. it makes complex law's which are not comprehensible to ordinary man. Instead of a person just reporting to the nearest police station for a change of address he has to go therough very many babus with bribe through a corporation office. any MLA will give a citizen certificate for substantial bribe. That is why Iam curious to kanow how it is done in china

I'll give you mine:
1)Iraq- Whether we win or lose, it will affect this nation as well as the rest of the world.
2)Economy-People really care about the economy and what is happening. People will not be happy about the war and certain political parties if the economy is bad. A good economy will favor the political party in power.
3)Iran's nuclear ambitions-We must deal with this problem now sooner than later. If Iran is allowed to have nukes, then the U.S. and its allies are in great danger.
4)Illegal immigration-I am not against immigration; it's just that illegal immigration cannot continue. These people are breaking our laws and if this continue, it will have great consequences for America and Mexico. For America, the southern border states will be dominated by these people and eventually taken. For Mexico, their economy would fall because most of their work force will be in the U.S. I'd write more but i'm running out of space.

I'm trying to find which pieces of legislation allowed for or enabled the quick growth of private prisons. I can find legislation relating to the topic on the state level, but there is little I can find on the federal level.

First, I'd like to point out that I am hard-core left wing and atheist. I'm probably not capable of thinking a single conserative thought!

I am a post-degree Education student. I work in the Education library at my university. The other day the library did an orientation sesson for incoming students. Currently, the students are studying "Responding to Diversity". As part of the orientation session, the library staff (my bosses) played a video clip from The Colbert Report, which emphasized the inaccuracies of Wikipedia. The clip also contained materials insulting Bob Jones University (and in my opinion, insulting Conservative Christians). Everyone in the orientation sesson laughed.

It seems odd to me that mocking a Christian university would be part of the "Responding to Diversity" orientation. I can't help but wonder if any of the students in that session were offended or made uncomfortable by the video. It seems highly inappropriate to me. What should I do / have done?

I read a recent article that stated the next presidential campaigns will run up to 500 million dollars. The American people say they want someone like them who can relate to them, well someone who has that much money can not relate to us. I know alot of it is donated but those donors are very wealthy as well.

So what does a person do who wants to run for president do and they definatley donot have that kind of money.\

NOW before you get your panties in a bunch just listen.

I watched the path to 9/11. Im on the middle of the fence on this but several times when someone tried to do something against a middle easterner who might have posed a threat, someone stepped and said STOP! WE can't its racial profiling, we'll get sued. At least 3 times in the movie that I can recall this was referenced. ( im not saying I believe all of the 9/11 commission report so lets just act like its fact for sake of argument )

So do you think the way we handle poiltical correctness is more important than making sure a group of people who are only interesting in landing and or just flying a plane is more important to save face, ignore that and see what happens?
Please be adult about the answer, Im just curious to see if people would think that saving face is more important then us being safe

I think it is long overdue.

You need ID for just about everything, these days. Why not for voting?

my husband and I got married on 1-14-2006 we thought that his divorce was finial but in 4-2006 we found out it was not so we resigned his divorce papers and the divore was granted 6-22-2006. It was an honset mistake by the commonwealth of virginia has charged him with bigamy which if a 4th class felony. Is there any way we can beat this or at least get probation and a suspended sentance? I am pregant and need him home/.

We live in Thailand now and will be travelling to the U.S. to have the baby next year. My wife has a ten year tourist visa and can only be in the country 90 days. If she has the baby, can she file for an extension on her visa while she is waiting for the passport on our child?

It is in the Border Fence Bill they passed (which by the way still needs to be funded).

"The amendment requires Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to file a full report with Congress evaluating "the authority of personnel of United States Customs and Border Protection to stop vehicles that enter the United States illegally and refuse to stop when ordered to do so," and compare those policies to other department pursuit policies.

Chertoff has 60 days from the passage of the bill to file the report with the House Committee on Homeland Security and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate."
