Why did PRESIDENT BUSH say he saw the first plane hit on T.V?

Question

Did President Bush watch the First plane hit the WTC, live on a closed circuit telivision?

He says twice that he did. The American Airlines Flight 11 impact WAS NOT BROADCAST LIVE. NO ONE SAW IT LIVE EXCEPT FOR THOSE AT GROUND ZERO, and apparently the President.

LOL. Man, give these conspiracy nuts an inch and then they think they are finally men. I think the President saw the news coverage of the first plane hitting the WTC and we assume that he meant live. The TV coverage from crash to first airing was just a matter of minutes I think. There were news crews out and about and caught it. But, perhaps the President did see it live on a closed circuit TV. It would not be very difficult thing to do. They knew the plane was hijacked. They knew the direction it was flying. They had credible threats that a terroris attack by plane was given to the US. Our government may have put 2+2 together and came up with the 4. They could have easily had television crews set up in New York to catch any incident.

I was listening to the tv that day from my bedroom when they were reporting that a plane had hit the first tower. I was checking my email from just having come in from work. I worked graveyard. When they said they were going live to the scene, I rushed over to the living room to see what was going on. I began watching and the second plane hit. I thought, wow they video taped the plane hitting. I thought it was a replay of the first plane hitting. Then it hit me that what I was seeing was live. Even the tv reporter was asking if it was a replay until they panned out to show both towers burning and spewing smoke. I think what Bush saw was the second plane hitting. Nothing more nothing less. Besides, why would they have secret government closed circuit tv in the school. Can you imagine all the equipment and people and trouble of setting one tv up? Along with all the reporters, secret service, teachers and kids. Come on.

He is a liar. After all he is a politician. I thought he was reading a story to a bunch of kids when he was TOLD they were attacked. And why was he so shocked that he can read a story then see it on tv then go back to the story, then be informed on the attack, than sit there silent for 10 minutes. We all know he is an idiot. He saw them recorded on TV and that means he saw it. Technically. Footage of the first plane hitting wasn't even discovered until much later. I watched the 2nd tower hit, then the 2nd tower fall, than the first tower fall 20 mins later. Did those kids have a remote feed into the classroom that morning. And is school really a good place to watch tv? Personally I think education nowadays sux and soon we will all be little GW's. Dumb as a brick.

There is no footage that I know of that shows the first plane hitting the tower. There's lots of footage of the damage to the tower, and of the second plane's impact.

So if anything, Bush may have seen the damage to the first tower, may have seen the smoke pouring out of it and heard the newscaster say it was a plane crash. But if he thinks he actually saw footage of the crash, he's obviously got his brain cells crossed.

The thing that bothers me more, though, is his reaction. An airplane has crashed into an office building, the building is on fire, there are obviously people dead and/or in danger, and all he can do is comment on the bad piloting.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize he said that. On tv he was shown in the classroom of children, supposedly reading a book (upside down) when it happened. I always felt that was staged to make him appear innocent, and promoting his No Child Left Behind Act. How did he just happen to be away that day? He knew what was up. Where was Cheney? Gone too. Hmmm. Seems to me the only ones running from the White House that day were interns and other subordinates.
Anyway, if this was a direct quote coming from Bush, there are red flags that go up in my mind, that he was lying, how could he be both outside the classroom, and inside the classroom at the same time. He changed his story more than once within the quote.
When it really counts, a handful of normal ordinary citizens can take things into their own hands, and make the toughest decision of their lives, knowing full well that they won't make it out alive. Flight 93.
The current administration wants to put fear into our hearts, to further their hidden agenda. When it comes right down to it. It will fail. It must. Our survival instincts will prevail. One factor this administration underestimated is our ability to get things done, quickly, when a gut decision must be made, and we do get it done.

well if I had to swear in court I would swear I saw it also, I was sitting with my son at the Fulton county sheriff office in the break room and we watched the plane hit.

It was also viewed by weather cameras in many local news rooms

and it would not have been broadcast live of course, but it could have very shortly there after.

and of course he could have confused the second plane for the first plane in the excitement

So perhaps in the terror of the day he got confused, we all were very upset. And after watching it over and over you can confuse the events.

so he may have make an error, or perhaps a station showed it before the second plane hit. The planes were filmed by secuirty cameras, by weather cameras, and by tourists.

and you are upset about this why, he like all of us was shocked by the terrorsts actions, I am sure you were also.

This has already been asked....more than once. It seems obvious to me he was saying he saw the NEWS COVERAGE talking about the first plane crash. People wil believe whatever they want to believe, so if you want to believe the man is a liar go right ahead....I don't. I was watching the news coverage of the first plane crash too.

Because the dumb fu*k had organized the whole thing and knew the game plan way ahead of time and, if ever there was a "Froidian slip" his was the ultimate.
And he had the gall to stand at the memorial to all the people he murdered at the WTC with their blood on his hands and talk the sh*t he did.
