it seems to me like we have made our country into a place that is so equal that it isn't equal anymore.
i am the average white 17 year old. i'm at a point in my life where i am applying for college scholarships, that is a major problem. My dad is a farmer and my mom works part-time at a junior high, so we don't struggle financially, but are by no means rich. by next year, they will have 3 kids in college so they won't be able to help all of us.
my problem is that i don't qualify for any scholarships. we don't have a scholarship for white people anywhere. i see them for mexicans, african americans, asians, latinos, indian, native american....anything but white people. that is not equal.
there are other things to. at our school we have a mexican culture club, indian culture club, asian culture club, african american culture club...so one day someone tried to create a caucasion culture club and got suspended. thats not equal.
i could go on but i'm out of space

Boo Hoo! You are a victim of the evil liberal conspiracy who want you to fail miserably and go on welfare. Those dastardly freedom hating democrats only help the Foreigners because.... uh.... because they are evil thats why. Funny..... it made sense when Rush explained it..............
But seriously - I hope you get into a good college and do really well. I'm sure you'll figure out a way if you really want to.

Yeah, it really sucks. The people who have the hardest time getting $$ for school are the people in between. Not poor enough to qualify for a pell grant but not rich enough to pay for it all themselves. Thing is, you have advantages in other areas of life so it all balances out. White people still pretty much rule this country. There are scholarships that have nothing to do with race. Keep looking around and keep working hard and you will be ok.

There are many Non-whites that aren't qualifying for scholarships because their parents have income. My kids are examples of that. They did get loans tho and had jobs so they could get what they needed. If you already know what you want to do after college, you might look for work in a company that awards scholarships related to the work they do. 2 of my kids majored in Hospitality/ buisness Mgt and they rec'd about 75% of tuition. Also, if possible, go to a state college. They are less expensive. They might offer something based on test scores. Keep searching, you'll find some money. In any case, grants are getting harder and harder to get by everyone no matter what race you are because of cut backs in social s[ending by our gov't. I believe that's why you can get money for school by joining the Armed Forces. It's sort of a draft by economic incentive.

This is a land of opportunity and if you have the guts, drive, and sensibility you can make it in this country and even more! Dont ever look to the government to feed you, cloth you, or educate you. That is not their job!
The reason why we give special favors and treatment to minorites is for that very reason, THEY ARE MINORITIES. In the past they have gotten a really raw deal from us white people and we are now trying to set the record straight by helping them as much as we can and seeing that everyone has a shot at the "american dream."

i did not vote for Obama yet i don't think of he's destroying US. to those that say he's...I say learn some historical past and economics. previous to the excellent melancholy became the final time we had such an infinite gulf between wealthy and not wealthy and It became between the significant factors that led to the melancholy as evidenced by ability of rather plenty all scholars. The wealth redistribution classes of the hot Deal have been in charge for the excellent Compression which positioned the popular public of the inhabitants into the middle type and became the main wealthy time in US historical past. So the completed thought of wealth redistribution collapsing our u . s . a . is one hundred% invalid. feels like bitter grapes to me after the numerous some years of trickle down economics proving that it has not at all and could not at all paintings. the completed corporation kind of the U. S. has exchange into so perverted that the completed corporation secotr desires to be transformed. those new age robber barons worked their way into the halls of skill and had each and all the regulations against corporation revoked which allowed the upward push of the mega-conglomorates...that's in direct opposition to the loose marketplace well-known by ability of the anti-believe regulations the place innovation and a paintings ethic can positioned somebody forward. right this moment that's not the case via fact the huge corporation gadget unearths any hint of opposition and grinds it out of corporation by ability of the two leaning on govt to run the guy out of corporation, stealing the innovation and dealing individual into courtroom till finally they're bled dry or merely hassle-free ol merchandising with their billions working smear campaigns. i think of that merely because it became on the top of the business era, that's time for us to as quickly as returned take inventory, reformat our u . s . a . because it has drifted so a strategies from what that's meant to be and what it became right into a perverted nightmare. Small corporation is physically powerful for united statesa.....those bloated companies that alter into lynchpins of the economic equipment and then crumple decrease than their very own weight of ineffiencies and fraud taking us all down with them...are un-American

i grieve with you. Have you noticed that african americans can be racist against the white people and we can't say anything bad about them? That's not equality.
But equality is a major different story. If everyone was equal, no one can be better than the other, or worse. But if I told you everything, it would fill up the whole page, so I better not.

well... you can talk all you want about your injustices... and they are... granted...
but would you rather be black in the same situation? I would say that you wouldn't... why? because you and I both know that there is still a lot of racism out there that black people still have to overcome...
we have advantages in that there are racists out there that give benefits to white people even if we don't ask for them... and the vast majority of business owners/managers are white and they all may not be racists... but some will be...
we're only 40 years away from blacks not being able to vote or go to the same school.. those attitudes still exist for many... and that's not fair to them either...

I am of hispanic descent but I couldn't agree with you more, white people are being discriminated against in the name of political correctedness, the goverment started out with good intentions but it has been taken too far. Your school principal should be ashamed of himself for prohibiting white students to form their own club, your parents should complain, I think everybody, hispanics, blacks etc, if they have a shred of conscience and ethics should stand against discrimination of any kind. It is a double standard to allow discrimination against caucasians while crying about their own.

I agree with you this country is trying way too hard to be politically correct and equal. In the process of this utopia it just gets worse and worse. Now the white kids are being discriminated against.

True equality means just that, no affirmative action, no discrimination, no racial preferences or quotas or differences.
We're obviously not there yet.
As far as scholarships, most are probably offered by private companies and private charitable trusts. And they can give their money to whoever they want. There's nothing we can do about that.
