I don't know but I wish you luck. I am a former government employee, former military (honorably discharged), and I have a B.S. in Business Administration. I cannot get a job with federal, city, state, or county government. I have been looking since January and I have given up up any government employment at this time.

Yes they can get a government job but they can not run for a government office.

I know that the United States Post Office will not hire you if you have any Felonies, also check for Misdemenors. So more than likely , NO.

DEPEND WHAT JOB -- IF THE CRIME HAS ANY RELATION TO THE JOB.

GOVERNMENT HAS AS MANY JOBS AND TITLES AS DO CIVILIANS JOBS.

IF YOU CAN WORK CIVILIAN SO CAN YOU GOV. AS LONG AS THE CRIME AND JOB DO NOT RELATE.

CAN NOT BE A BANKER IF YOU RUB BANKS.
OR A POLICEMEN IF YOU SHOOT PEOPLE,

YOU NEED GET COUNCELING AS TO WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THE GOV.

I think they can in Chicago. I think they go to Daley's office and fill ot some paperwork.
