Haven't missed a vote in 13 years

Some of us vote in any and every election that comes up. Some of us vote only the major elections every 2 years. Some of us only vote the presidential elections every 4 years. and still even some of us only vote when we feel like getting off our lazy butts and going to the polls. There are still some that don't vote they just register so they can say they are registered. i vote in every election that comes up, local, state, and national elections. Which means I am voting at least once a year sometimes more often than that. More people should register and everyone registered should at least vote every 2 years in the national elections. I personally feel it is your civic duty to vote. I also feel it is your civic duty to know what and who you are voting for, and not just the names, but everything about the person and where they stand on every issue. Of course that would mean we live in a perfect world and we don't so I will continue to do my part and hope for the best.

I do when we actually have someone running worth a damn. But for the last 2 elections my votes didnt count. I lived in Fl in 2000 election, And was in Oh on business in 2004 election so my absentee vote was never counted. Mainly I pick the lesser of two evils but lately I think they are all evil. But being lower class they keep me down to where I have to work 80 hrs a week just to get by. I couldnt leave if I tried. But I don't think I will vote again unless John McCain ran, he seems to be the only one with a clue.

Why vote when GWB lost last time by popular vote but the electoral votes allowed him to win. So if the peoples vote don't count for nothing but a big show on TV, why even bother if we are going to get the guy with the most friends in the top levels anyway..

Voting is a waste of time best I can tell.

On average about 67% here. In some states the vote is as high as 20%.

It's a shame that the best gift our way of life offers,..the right to select who will represent you and speak for you.. is often tossed aside.

I had an old friend who used to say, "If you haven't voted then shut up and stop complaining, you've given away your right to talk."

Americans should vote because it is the only way your voice will be heard. Things can shift if you vote. The country is a mess right now and all you on the fencers who may not go out to vote should be ashamed if you dont go out and speak for change with your vote. It can never be a waste of time. Do not waste your voice - VOTE VOTE VOTE.

I always vote in the Primary, Runoff and General elections. Those that don't shouldn't complain about the actions or inaction's of our elected officials. I also write letters to my Congressmen if I am happy with the decisions that are made - especially about immigration and pork projects.

I do,. especially since the GD democrats stuck a tax increase in on a democrat primary that they didn't advertise and they knew most republicans wouldn't be there. So I never miss any election, I don't care if it is for Dog catcher. Sneaky Ba$tards. the good thing is the state has held up all the funds since they were so sneaky about it.

I'm 52, and I've only missed two elections since the age of 18, in both cases because I was out of town and couldn't get an absentee ballot in time (once I ordered it, and it arrived a month after the election, and once it arrived at my home after I had left on my trip).
