If torture were legal we could do it openy in America without looking for foreign's to do it for us. We would not have to have clandestine prisons and violate US laws and laws of foreign countries. Our ememies would know that they would be in for a world of sht if they got caught. We could have TV shows depicting how individuals couls be tortured and this would be a deterrent to anyone who wanted to *uck with the USA.

Trying to refrain from namecalling, do you think this country would be less divided with a different President in office (and I know we will have to wait until the next election, these questions are just theorhetical)? Do you think Bush promotes the divide in this country?

But Hollywood can allow a fabricated mess on behalf of Michael Moore on 9/11?? Interesting! It's about time the other half is exposed.

The Palestinian and Israeli conflict is the main conflict in the mid east and leaving it unsolved will only initiate more friction between the east and the west...

SO it starts with britian snatching arab lands... Those who dont agree with this read this from wikipedia before you humiliate yourself...

"The establishment of Zionism led to the Second Aliyah (1904–1914) with the influx of around 40,000 Jews. In 1917, the British Foreign Secretary Arthur J. Balfour issued the Balfour Declaration that "view[ed] with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people." In 1920, Palestine became a League of Nations mandate administered by Britain."

america has supported israeli and continues to create bloodbath in mid east...

The Palestinian.Israeli Conflict is the MAIN reasons why so many conflicts exist today...

Its the reason saddam challenged america...

Its the reason "terrorists" exist...

Its the main reason iran challenges america...

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house)."According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest...... um, except for well, you know. And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being anti-housebreaker.

Oh yeah, anther thing...I want you to learn my language too so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America....If you agree, pass it on"

Just curious, what is it like to get a first offenso of DUI in countries other than the US?

I know it's a terrible offense and extremely stupid. However I'd like to know how other people deal with it.

Would you approve of impeaching the current President and Vice President, even if it meant we had to elect another Republican? If California can do it with Grey Davis, why can't we replace our President with someone that more than 50 percent of Americans could trust to do the right thing?

My point is that those who go against what our government is doing, may be hurting our country. The pres and his staff know, see and hear more than they will ever tell. We cannot expect to know, hear or see all they know because if that happened the terrorist would also know, hear and see it all.

I've heard here and other places that Bush should be impeached. I don't think it's a good idea for a variety of reasons. 1. There isn't anything Bush has personally done that is an impeachable offence. 2. The amount of time necessary to impeach IF you are successful will eat up most of Bush's remaining time in office. 3. IF you impeach Bush what will you have as a replacement? Cheney! Now that would be really smart. 4. How many of the Democrats in Congress really favor impeaching Bush? None have said so publicly. 5. Just what good would it do if Democrats did impeach Bush? 6. Most of the things those outside of Congress want Bush impeached for and things the Democratic leaders have backed at one time or another.

Lets go to Baghdad right now! After all, what better place to join in and defend democracy?!?!?
