If torture were legal we could do it openy in America without looking for foreign's to do it for us. We would not have to have clandestine prisons and violate US laws and laws of foreign countries. Our ememies would know that they would be in for a world of sht if they got caught. We could have TV shows depicting how individuals couls be tortured and this would be a deterrent to anyone who wanted to *uck with the USA.

If torture were legal under US laws, I'd shudder in sorrow at what we'd lost, but it wouldn't have a serious effect on my electoral decision.

damm u sure close minded, because they do it clandestine dosent mean they should legalize it so they could have it as another threat to ppl, then why dont legalize drugs, heroin, pot, etc.. looks pretty hypocrital how us treats torture, as they themselves have tortured war prisioners, and as the laws of war state, that prisioners of war should, and have to be treated good, and by the end of war returned to there home land.....

anyway the us does whatever they want no matter the good of ppl... only what the gov beleves and the burocracy thinks, is what matters there. i would have giuven a better answ4er but im at work and cant think much on how stupid ur question was.. if u think they should legalize it, if not (hopfully) then gud luck

Yes, I think that we should, by our law, have less restrictive laws on the treatment of these prisoners that are suspected terrorists. I do think that most forms of physical torture would not be necessary if the prisoner knows we can and will use it.

Hell yes... keeping our country safe no matter what should be ok by anyone's standards.

If somebody knows a plot to kill your parent or child, you would authorize any use of force necessary to insure their safety.

Now think about that on a nation-wide level.

I would, only if certain torture procedures were allowed.

Why? Because they would do the same thing to one of our soldiers if they were kidnapped (and did during Vietnam). You want to torture? Well, then if you're caught, you're going to get tortured as well.

You bet I would. Anything that will keep the homeland safe. Take it to them, I say. The rag-heads got no problem behaving like animals, treat them that way.
