Just curious, what is it like to get a first offenso of DUI in countries other than the US?

I know it's a terrible offense and extremely stupid. However I'd like to know how other people deal with it.

As an addiction therapist, I actually have a list of these, that I show clients when they complain they have to attend classes. In Turkey, a person is driven out into the country and forced to walk back. In another country the man AND his wife are jailed. (that makes the wife terribly happy). In some So. American countries, you are shot on the spot. In Australia, your name and picture are put in the paper with the caption, "caught drunk driving." There are more, but I don't recall them all off the top of my head.

When I was in one of my DUI classes the teacher told us what each country does. But I don't remember which country does what. I know for some it's execution, another one throws you and your spouse in jail for a while, some never let you drive again, some throw you in jail for years, and some publicly humiliate you. Even though we go through a lot here, I think it's a little better in the U.S.

properly enable's see the punishment receives worse, DUI degrees stay an analogous. it truly is ridiculous to imagine creating more desirable restrictive rules will decrease the occurrence. i know enable's eliminate their license, oh wait they basically stress with out one. rules do no longer make people accountable and neither does a nanny state To the position'd I Park.... We make rules that say do not, yet people nevertheless do. people continuously will because of loose will. you may make the penalty demise and persons nevertheless will. you may want to take duty on your moves.
