on the street to tell me a little about the US Flag Code, and what is considered disrespect towards the flag. Do you think the majority would know, even the one who is wearing an American Flag bandana?

Someone talks to their friend and says... let's rob a bank. We are taking money, but the government will give it back to them -- it's insured. The friend says ok. The next day, after 24 hours to consider the act, the friend still agrees to do it. He takes a mask and works on a timetable.

Then the 'someone' who is really an ethics officer arrests him. Gotcha! What's wrong with this? We could have different punishments or maybe just public shaming, much less severe, for people with poor ethics. Why is it important who thought of the idea? This could revolutionize safety in our world.

When is the death penalty going to be brought back regarding terrorists?
The goverment should also strip the families of terrorists of all assets and kick them out of Britain.

(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or
drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free.

g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of
it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design,
picture, or drawing of any nature.

(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic
uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations.

Obviously Americans disrespect the flag daily, but I guess we nip and pick what codes we wanna follow and which ones we don't.

Mr. Rotenberg pointed to Google’s own joust earlier this year with the Justice Department over a subpoena for some of its search data. The company successfully fended off the agency’s demand in court, but several other search companies, including AOL, complied. The Justice Department sought the information to help it defend a challenge to a law that is meant to shield children from sexually explicit material.

(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a
fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way,
preferably by burning.

There has been so much media talk by a few persons on the "disproportionate" Israeli response to the abduction of two IDF soldiers by Hezbollah. I am yet to hear, perhaps, the "step-by-step" response Israel should have taken before the precipitation to what is happening now. May be some one in this forum has an answer. Surely, I wouldn't have expected the Israeli PM & the whole Knesset members going to prostrate before Nasralla and Saniora begging and crying for them to release the two captured soldiers. Someone said: "give a mouse a plate of cookies, it will ask for a glass of milk". So, how should the response of Israel have been? Thank You.

I find the behaviour of people on yahoo answers very peculiar. So what if the americans decide to settle parts of iraq now ,it means in time you will all say we cant get out its our land, right or wrong we got it and now were living there. It means the principal of your morality is kill and grab then talk. What kind of people does that make you?

Okay the US has captured a lot, but the message doesnt seem to be sinking in, there are just more and more.

The one thing terrorists care about is themselves and their family.

Why doesnt the US capture the terrorists families? Do you think they will not try to help them? Even Bin Ladens brother said that if he came for help he would not refuse him. So why not round them all up and have the terrorist execute his own family?

It washes the hands of the CIA and government, and gets a new message to the terrorists. IF you do it we will kill you and your family. I am all for tourture, I wish they would send more terrorists to Egypt, where they can just disappear, why not send thier mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and kids there with them. Gas them all since the kids will probably just follow in their dads footsteps.

Well here is the question, why would this not work, laws and emotions aside? Be just as nasty as they are...
